49ers..Braves..Celtics
Theo Ratliff was going to win DPOY before he got injured, they traded for Mutombo who won DPOY. They had Aaron mcKie who was 6th man of the year. Eric Snow was a solid point guard. Tyrone Hill was good PF. That sixers team was built on hard working players who understood their roles. Not alot of star power but it was a good team. You see once bthey tried to get scoring the team went to shyt.

cool story :scusthov:

What? Jordan had a pretty decent cast of players on his team imo

before the pippen migraine,....

mike's teams were awful.....i was at those celtic's first round off school yard ass whipping as a kid.

dr j before barkley after they split up,..argueably the best team of all time record and roster wise before the bulls and lakers high win total seasons.

barkley after dr j retires and then later asked to be traded.
i don't even remember the squads rister. i wanna say dave cowens was on that team as the next best buster.

alex english, on the nuggets when possibly fat lever was the next best player.
maybe kiki was on the team but honestly,...duke was just white and not even tom chambers with it.

drazen petrovic on the nets,..i think made the offs one year and i can't remember who else was on that team. they had those tarheel blue iron on jerseys that sucked't.

i forgot the year they sucked so bad.

nuggets that beat the sonics,..i know robert pack was on there woth mutumbo,..but i don't remember if chris jackson was on that squad.

who could have been their only star player by a long shot by then remotely.

That Cavs team that was in the finals isn't as bad as people are making it out to be.

Yes Lebron was the only Superstar on the team but IllGauskas and Gooden were hardly bums at the time.

z moved like a damn aged needed to be pouched for his hide slow girafe, then.

gooden was wack and just looked skilled...

that squad sucked,.....

sasha was awful, too......plus i think basket case hughes was on that squad.

luc longley wasn't a bum, nikka had skills :gladbron:

luc longley was an overrated westcoast aussie euro bum in college.

whom, only got drafted and pr in college because of the games need for a seven footer.

he was just a bit better than yinka daré,...in college and the pros as a skill player.

he benefitted because of his playing weight and large aussie frame genetics.

plus the fact phil jackson as a pro was a frontcourt player.

who could coach him up.

on the small nuances longley missed as a foreign turned domestic player in college to the pro's. as phil was a master communicator/motivator.

plus phil was regarded as a junkie high buster,..

whom, also contributed for a title in ny.

so phil, could easily relate the domestic differences socially and gameplay wise for longley.

longley just happened to be able to execute a bit and was impressionable through phil's zen prowess.

allowkmg luc, to execute way above his low rated buster level to okay buster level.

longley got to start imo,...because of this.

includidnghis draft position, combined with his weight and height.

as, imo the best buster in the three headed bulls monster center system was bill wennington.

bill was like an exact buster version clone of phil jackson as a knick.

Jordan made others better. Scottie was a dream team player because of Mike. 50 greatest player for Pippen cause of Jordan making him better. There was Horace Grant and then his twin Harvey. Bill Cartwright, worst jump shot form ever. Mike had to choke Steve Kerr to help him with his game. It's my opinion but some players listed didn't make others better.

No player makes other players "better" they just take pressure off other players and make things easier for them on both ends of the court.

People forget that Pippen was labeled a bust after averaging 7PPG as a rookie coming off the bench (he couldn't even beat Brad fukking Sellers to a the starting spot). He was the 5th pick in the draft!

Are you a fan of the game? Yes great players make okay players seem like stars. That's a fact. I won't even give examples if you feel that way, so be it :lolbron:

I never said otherwise.

I'm saying they don't make them "Better". Superstar players make Okay players seem like stars by making things easier on them on both sides of the court.

It's not the concept I take issue with it's the way it's phrased.

Those late 80's teams with Pip & Grant still developing were pretty wack bit still getting to semi and Confrence Finals. Mike wasn't trying to give them nikkas the ball in the final minutes of games

Again, you have to take into consideration how weak the East was back then. There were only two 50 win teams in the east that season (Detroit & Cleveland). Meanwhile in the west there were three 50 win teams and two 60 win teams.
