Kwame Brown and Luke Walton aren't as bad as people make them out to be.

Kwame is solid defensive player. That's literally the only thing he can do well though, so having him as your 3rd or forth option is a bad move. Dude wouldn't get NEARLY as much criticism as he does if he hadn't been drafted #1 by Jordan.

Luke Walton could have been a solid role player if not for his injuries. He was a decent shooter, distributor and defender before his back problems.

Smush Parker was a bum though......

Here's the starting lineup for game 3 of the NBA finals for the Cavs in 07 -

Daniel Gibson
Sasha Pavlovic
LeBron James
Drew Gooden
Zydrunas Illgauskas

Games 1 and 2 had Larry Hughes in place of Gibson.

Obviously that's not a great lineup, but not as garbo as some others have had. Gooden and Z is a pretty solid front court and Hughes was an all-star until he got to Cleveland (and he played the first two games of that series).

Hughes was actually pretty solid in the playoffs until sometime in that NJ series. Musta got hurt then and it finally took him down in the Finals.

no joke but how the fukk did Piru P and 'Toine make it to the ECF in 2002? That Celtics squad if I remember correctly was trash, but were a good defensive team. But, I remember after P and Walker, than they had Tony Delk and didn't they have Raef Lafrentz too? I still don't know how that C's squad made it, but it had to be because of how horrible the East was. Anybody could have made the finals out of the East during the early and part of the mid 2000s.

Of course the ATL
I still don't know how Steve Smith was able to get those 98-99 Hawks into the 2nd round with a declining Mookie Blaylook and Mutumbo who was on a decline into a deep run in the playoffs in 1999.

:rudy:

There was nothing deep about that playoff run. 6 games in the 2nd round vs. the Bulls was what most, including Hawks fans, expected. And as much of a fan of Smitty as I am, he didnt carry the Hawks...its the same model the franchise is on now (talented but unspectacular core).

Carried implies the team went somewhere. smh @ people bringing up 1st round exits. :comeon:

Iverson's sixers in '01 went 56-26 and reached the finals. Starting lineup in the finals was Iverson, Mutombo, McKie, tyrone Hill, and Jumaine Jones. Bench was Snow, Bell, Geiger and Todd fukking MacCulloch

But here's what people forget. Mutombo only played like 20 games that year.

So neither one of yall understand the difference between the words "To" and "In"?

Threadstarter asked which player carried the biggest bunch of bums TO the playoffs, meaning just getting them a playoff berth. That's also why I kept mentioning how weak a given conference was since for years a team could get into the east playoffs with a losing record.

Agree with alot of teams thrown around here, Kobe 05-06, LeBrons 06-07, some of the early T-Mac magic teams were beyond terrible. But y'all are forgetting another straight up trash roster, maybe even the worst ever in the playoffs, look at this shyt:

Minnesota Timberwolves 02-03

C - Nesterovic, Marc Jackson, Loren Woods
PF - Garnett, Joe Smith, Gary Trent
SF - Szczerbiak, Reggie Slater
SG - Peeler, Kendall Gill, Rakocevic
PG - Troy Hudson, Rod Strickland, Mike Wilks

Good Lawd thats awful.:pachaha:
