Halibut. I lived in Alaska as a adolescent. Been hooked on it every since.

when i moved to the northwest...

catfish nuggest u had to order...

so i got into sockeye...chinook salmon... then got into halibut...

then this white dude.... useta ship salmon halibut jerky ..useta get cases of it....

i liked the jerkey so i said shyt i might like it grilled etc... didnt disappoint

Magical. After you taste fresh fish straight out the ocean you'll never see the store bought shyt in USA the same

I had a cousin that use to have a fishing boat we'd go out and catch hella snapper(Florida shyt) then bring it back to shore and have fish fries for the family. Indescribable

With fish, it depends. Salmon and snapper checks off most boxes. Love both as sashimi, seared, or smoked. Catfish is a Southern staple and I love it too.
