Which character trait is more important in a friend, loyalty or honesty?

Nah...my 2 best friends are loyal but only one is honest and we don't fall out every other year like I do with my boy who's a compulsive liar. He's my closest friend because of time and the experiences we've been through, but my honest, loyal friend is my best friend.

Honesty is overrated. sometimes lying is a good way to encourage people or protect their feelings. Telling your friend you don't think he will ever amount to shyt is honest. but not helpful. telling he has potential to be something great even though you don't think he will might encourage him to prove you wrong.
My most common lie is to tell people i'm busy with something rather than just being honest and saying i don't feel like hanging out with you today. I've found that that does much better for relationships. Because just because i don't wanna hangout that day doesn't mean i don't ever want to hang out, and i'd rather not give them the impression that i don't fukk with them.

I'm saying. Even people who don't like you can be honest with you. People be eager to let you know you are fukking up if they have nothing to gain from gassing you up lol

Is this true loyalty if you are willing to allow someone to be caught up in your mistakes? Is loyalty truly present in the relationship?
