Yeah, nobody would care that a breh who tried market his product to those same "militant crab nikkas", would work with someone who told his gf that he hoped she would get raped by a pack of nwords. :mjlol:

Business is business:manny:

You can work with somebody that hates you, if it furthers your cause. Warring enemies unite temporarily when they see benefit. And that's with ppl who lost family to one another. If working with Gibson helped further their business and their overall cause in the grand scheme of things, they'd be fools not to.

At the end of the day, they put out great content that's needed out there, and they're growing their business. In the course of that, if a rich racist cac wants to work with them under terms that are mutually beneficial, it's all good. If Trump gave them a billion dollars I wouldn't fault them for taking the money, unless they had to do some c00n shyt to earn it.

Its also business to not piss off the people you're trying to market to, at least not until you figure out how to expand beyond it. :yeshrug:

I think they're trying to market to your average black person, who by no means is a coli militant.

Average black ppl just want good quality black cartoons that they can show to their kids to instill a sense of pride in their heritage and culture.

I work in mainstream comics. (I'm up late working on a short story for Milestone, actually.)

I don't know Eric July, have never met him, and hadn't even heard of him until recently. But based on the people he hangs with, dude is a whole goofy.

It's more than just having "different views", and it's way more than one "dumb-ass take". He hangs with open alt-Right ComicsGate clowns that wouldn't piss on him if he were on fire. It's clear that they simply find him useful, to deflect from accusations of being racist. I don't care how dark he is, a clown is a clown, and all skin-folk certainly ain't kinfolk. Not to mention he took a cheesin'-ass pic with Kyle Rittenhouse, which should be damning in and of itself.

I could also go on a whole tirade on this "Black conservative/Black libertarian/anti-woke" nonsense--especially since I used to be on that shyt--but I'll be brief.** That shyt ain't for us, breh.

BlackCon ideology comes from a place of real pain, and is a result of one feeling the effects of living under white supremacy without truly understanding its cause. That very real rage you feel is useful to the same white conservatives (regardless of political party) that hate Black people, Black culture, limit Black wealth and advancement, and tries in every way to destroy us. Being a Black conservative just puts a Black face on white supremacy, and you don't even realize you're being used. Your smug self-confidence isn't intelligence, it's self-assured ignorance. Your obstinate contrarianism is nothing more than a safety blanket, quilted from the strands of your fears and insecurities about the world.
