Name the play and gametime that Helrich even could have stopped trying. You think they should have taken a knee with 3 minutes left and given it back to MSU down only 12? You think they should have kicked a FG with 1:45 left and given it back to MSU still down only two scores?

Name the play Oregon should have stopped on. You can't. They scored on a 14-yard run up the middle on 4th-and-2 with 1:40 left when they were just trying to get the first down and end the game. There was no point before that play when they could have put the game away without scoring a TD. TD-onside kick-TD happens all the time in football - Seahawks just did it in the NFC championship, and Oregon did it themselves to Oklahoma just a few years back.

And acting like Utah's defense gave up just because the offense had a big turnover early...it was still only 7-7 after that play, so come on now. Heck, it was 30-27 a good 30 game minutes later, so if Utah collapsed because of a fumble it was quite a crazy delay on the collapse. Mariota had over 350 yards and 4 TDs on the road in a 51-27 win against a top-25 team with a quality defense, and you don't want to acknowledge it because somebody fumbled 40 game-minutes before the game was decided.

In the MSU game they coulda just fukking went down after getting the first down :heh: the spread was 12.5-13, he did it to cover. fukk that bald fakkit. And the odds of Oregon losing in that spot were astronomical. It never happens.

That play in the Utah game was huge they woulda been up, they would've felt like they had a chance. When that play happened everyone on the planet knew it was over.

Who gives a shyt how many yards Fairychoka had. Gimmick offense that doesn't tell us shyt about how he'll play in a traditional offense. If he ends up in Philly, good for him he'll prolly have some success, but I'm not sold on him.

They got the first down on the 22 with 3:40 left in the game and called nothing but run plays up the middle after that. You just stupid saying a team should kneel on the ball up only 12 with almost 4 minutes still left in the game. Michigan State called a timeout to stop the clock after the third down because they wanted the ball back with as much time as possible. You think they should have knelt on the ball and given it back to Michigan State at that point...just to avoid covering the spread? Give it up, you're making the dumbest argument for a coaching strategy that I've ever seen. Yes, the chances of Michigan State winning were low. BUT WHY WOULD YOU GIVE THE OTHER TEAM EVEN A LOW CHANCE TO WIN WHEN YOU CAN KEEP RUNNING THE BALL AND ENSURE THEY HAVE ZERO CHANCE TO WIN?!?!?

I'm convinced you don't even know what happened in the game and are pulling stuff out your ass. "Should have gone down with 3:40 on the clock." I'd bet no one in the history of elite college football has done that, especially not up just two scores. Stupid.

Mariota's so good that when it's 7-7 early in the 2nd quarter, on the road against a ranked team, "everyone on the planet knew it was over". At least you know how to give the boy props.

Ok so make another essay. Helfrich is a degenerate. Michigan state was dead in the water.

Sure, believe that if you want. But how the hell you going to tell Helfrich to take a knee with 3:40 left in a 12-point game? Can you just admit that you forgot what happened and started talking out yo ass?

Ha, mostly true. But most of the failings in Oregon's defense (not strong enough in the middle, inexperienced linebackers who couldn't tackle, weird schemes in the front-7) matter less with a lead late in games. The ultra-athletic, turnover-happy secondary was pretty good at dominating pass-desperate offenses late in games.

Not that that means your team should be stupid enough to give the ball back and hope the defense will hold, when you can just keep the ball and put the game away instead.

No shyt you don't take a knee at 3:40, but if you convert a 4th and 2 with 1:27 left and the other team is out of timeouts?

They scored the touchdown after calling the timeout at 4th and 2, with 1:27 seconds left. Could've just burned the clock.

Ok so make another incorrect assumption. MSU had already used a timeout in the 3rd quarter and used the other 2 in the fourth prior to the 4th and 2.
