If they were doin' it next year, they wouldn't be hypin' it this year...

and before anyone says, yes I'm aware of the Cena/Rock build from 2011-12... difference is, we knew the match for that year was gonna be Cena/Miz. This year, it's literally Cena challenging Taker to a match at Mania.

Of course the match is happening at Mania. If/WHEN Taker comes out, he ain't comin out there to say 'next year', you know how hard the crowd would boo that shyt?

The WWE’s creative team seems to genuinely be grasping at straws here..

The sad thing, for all the ‘meh’ the UFC gets from WWE fans - their storylines are WAY more entertaining and less predictable and so are the money fights.

They keep doing the SAME things at Wrestlemania - it’s some variation of:
  • Undertaker comes back!
  • The Rock.. comes back!
  • Steve Austin.. guest appearance!
  • Roman Reigns push!
  • Something with Triple H!
Really: Undertaker? The man could barely walk in some of these last showings. Let his career Rest In Peace.

For a company with practically unlimted resources, it feels like they are a one-trick pony when it comes to (in their eyes) ‘money fights’ and fueds

So Cal
Cena a he sitting in the crowd between matches camera will regularly show him. One time while it's showing him the going will go off, Cena will already be in his ring gear and jump the barrier. There it is.

Dont think anyone is interested in a year long build for this shyt (what build anyway. Taker wouldn't show up again until next Feb lol)

Cena deserves to squash his ass Sunday

Brock, Roman, Cena is a decent list for the holy trinity that beat the Deadman (AJ too even :smugdraper:

Honestly, it’s kinda refreshing having a feud like this. Most matches are confirmed weeks ahead of time (atleast in the past anyway) so this actually feels like WWE taking advantage of having something like the Network, and Mania being the selling point, having this be in limbo even with the show this Sunday. This kinda build can only really happen between two guys like this at this point in their careers though

How about Reigns wins the world title beating Lesnar in the "main event" the crowd is booing as he is holding the title up then the gong hits. The Undertaker comes out and chokeslams Reigns to a huge pop then he looks at Cena, Cena jumps the rail gets in the ring they have a staredown and the ref gets in the ring and they have the last match of the night.

For all the stupid things the WWE has done over the years, this takes the cake.

Imagine having one of the biggest matches you could book for WrestleMania on the table, and you don't book it at all. You decide to wait until the last possible minute to do it. Now imagine the biggest star of the company not having any opponents lined up for him so he has to call out a 53-year-old man who hasn't had a good WrestleMania match in five years. Then imagine him having no choice but to buy a ticket and go to the biggest show of the year as a fan.

And instead of imagining it, you realize it's all real. :mjlol:

The build has been dumb but I actually like the fact that they didn't have Taker come out yesterday. Rather have him show up at Mania and accept the challenge there than show up on RAW like we all expected.

I don't watch wrestling anymore but nikkas are still clampering for this match? Takers streak is over and Cena isn't in his prime anymore.
