My opinion is to keep your current seat for 2-3 months. Because you probably will ride 2-3 times a week at least, and in 1 month that's only 12 rides. 2 months, 24 rides.

You'll need to get a good number of rides in, as well as enough milage on that seat before you know if you want or need to change it.

How long do your rides take you?

If you get 60 hrs on the seat or 30-50 rides, you'll likely have enough experience to think that you want something softer or more firm, bigger, longer, smaller, whatever.

Everytime out I've been riding longer and upping my miles. I'm not on it long because 4-5 miles only takes like 25 minutes. I do know I will be riding longer once my endurance picks up.

I'm not trying to be a professional rider by any means by I know I can pump out 15 miles 3-4 times a week

Thats sufficient. When I started I was doing exactly that, maybe a lil more. 5 miles out, 5 miles back. Not racing. Just riding and enjoying the day.

Then eventually you start to go a lil further, or your speed and endurance picks up so then 25 minutes blows by and you're further than you used to be.

If it feels good, do it. You'll get there. I ride 15 miles to work, 15 miles back. Sometimes I take the long route which is 25 miles. I'm not racing or gassing myself out, just enjoying the ride, enjoying the views.

I'm a psychopath in that I ride for a long time or run for a long time outside or inside and don't listen to music or audiobooks. I have a Bluetooth external speaker and a separate phone with an SD card full of music and guidebooks and e-learnings. And still don't take advantage. But do that, just get lost in your music or audio and enjoy whatever time you have on your new hobby.

Question, I've been doing all my riding at a park. Should I try elsewhere? Remember I'm just doing it for exercise

Not nearly the same thing, but I am tempted to drop a stack and a half of an E-Bike. These mofos are :wow:

Not this one but something similar.

Tons of people at my job have ebikes. They all swear by them. Doesnt seem like a fad either, as theyre all still gloating about them well over a year later.

I'm ready to buy. Literally pay for it straight up, no payment plan. But it's such a big expense...part of it is me saying "fukk gas prices" but I only fill up twice a month. If I buy one, I have to use it. Work is only 2.3 miles from me though so...it seems like a no-brainer to get it.

I mean....you can ride anywhere really, that's the freedom of riding. I use www.mapmyride.com to create routes.

Go from your front door and design a route 2.5 miles out then 2.5 miles back. That's 5 miles. You can either remember it or send it to your phone and have it GPS you.

I'm still guilty of putting my bike on my bike rack and driving somewhere nicer to ride. And even hopping in my car and driving somewhere more nice to run, but it's much easier to just step out your front door then turn around and go back.

Sorry to keep bothering you but how much is a decent car bike rack? I don't need anything super expensive but I can't keep putting my bike in the backseat

Thanks for all the help

Man....I bought a $700 ebike on some :stopitslime: it's gonna be some bullshyt.

My boy went out and bought the Mendocino by schwinn spent $1600 on it....

I've see a lot and I mean a lot of cats riding around on the Wal-Mart hyper electric bike which went on fire sale for $300.

Needless to say I use my ebike more than my boy uses his and he paid double. It ain't about the price, it's about the usage.

Really wish I could cop that Wal-Mart special though, that's a no brainer. But then again I'd use the fukk out of it til the frame rusted through.

You don't have to break bread, but you definitely can.

If you work 2-3 miles don't spend a lot, buy low, and stack dough, for real.

I would say go for it. My co-worker took $8k out of his retirement to buy his (:russ::snoop::ufdup:) and he doesn't seem to regret it lmfao

It's no bother to me at all.

Do you have a hitch on your car?

8k! I'm buying a fukking motorcycle for that.

Which I can find you an 8k ebike right now that goes I think 60mph. But it has pedals so technically it's an ebike and not a motorcycle
