Nah I copped the metakoo electric off Amazon.....it's not listed on there anymore....:patrice:

It cost me 800. And I've ridden over 800 miles. Rode in the rain, mud, night, day, morning...

It works....I don't know if $1 per mile is the best way to justify the purchase. I guess I'll see how it holds up next year and the year after. But for now it's good, it works.

I usually ride it to work and on the way home from work. It has all the gears as a regular mountain bike/hybrid bike. So if I want to use a little throttle to cross a busy street or boost up a hill or maintain speed up a hill I use it and if I just feel like riding regular I don't use it.
My only other question is, hows the weather year round in your neck of the woods. I like riding my bike in the winter but the northeast can be hard on a bicycle.

i wouldnt be caught dead on an E-Bike but to each his own.

seriously impressive! good stuff.

im looking for a new road bike. 600-1200 budget. any tips?
Thanks breh. Bikes are really hard to get these days but with a $1200 budget you could get a pretty nice aluminum brand named such as a Giant Contend or you could go with a carbon Chinese frame and try to find some used parts/wheels and build a pretty nice lightweight bike. I prefer carbon. My race bike has a 10 year old frame, still going strong. You might be able to find a used brand name frame if you're into building stuff.

Best Buy is now selling electric bikes, scooters, and mopeds — in store and online

Apparently it's the new wave.

My boy and I were off today so we said fukk it and just hopped on the bikes and rode around.

I don't think he ate enough in preparation cause at mile 35 he conked out. His legs were dead. He's 190, 10% bodyfat. His squat is 315+ his bench is maybe 265. He's a gym rat that usually runs a couple miles every other day. We can't explain why he just burned out at 35 miles, but I gave him and energy gel and we went back to where we started.

I had the electric bike but didn't use any of the motor, when his legs locked up, we swapped bikes and he used the assist to get back home. He was only on level 1 which is 5mph, but the headwind was crazy....the wind didn't even pick up until the last 5 miles when we were riding north.

Imo, that's what the assist is for, incase you somehow get fukked
.

Ya boy got hit by a car today.

I'm all good though. No injury. Just a scratch/welt on my leg where his front license plate hit me. Dude was pullin up to a stop sign. We made eye contact but he didn't stop soon enough. His bumper just pushed into my leg. I didn't fall or anything. Dude hopped out and was mad apologetic. I bent up his front license plate, might have shifted his bumper, it didn't look flush afterwards.

He said "Sorry man, are you ok? I'm so sorry I didn't see you."

I told him "I'm good, check your bumper though."

"fukk the bumper, you aight???"

"I'm good breh, it ain't broken, no pain, I'm good."

We dapped it up and I rode another 23 miles.

That's bike life though.

I was riding with my older brother. He was a Lil shook up.

Got home and told my girl, she was in tears.

Crazy. We gotta stay safe out here.

I had the glock 19 on me for Glocktober. I rock a different one every other day. Luckily dude was cool about it. I would've hated to smoke a fool today.

I didn't mention I could smell the weed he was smoking. We were like 3 blocks from a police station too.

I didn't tell my lady where I was going or that I love her before I left. Worst case scenario that could've been it. I have it all on video but it ain't no thang. Ride with a bodycam and pistol if you can. For instances just like this.

5 miles today. Hopefully by the end of this week I'm averaging 7 miles a ride.

I need to get a new seat my ass is hurting

No homo

Harder ones are actually better for you fwiw. Squishy ones end up mushing their way into your nether regions and cut circulation to the area. With harder seats, after a couple rides, the cartilage in your sits muscle builds up and makes it easier to go the distance on. Also, get one with the cut out for your balls. When i got myself professionally fitted, the guy was really adamant about the benefits of this style of seat.

You ain't lyin.

I had a fitted seat for years. And used to :mjlol: at comfort seats and squishy seats.

Til 2 years ago. Same seat. Had some serious saddle sores. Blood in my underwear daily. Big sores. Just patches of skin, gone. Hurt to sit down in regular chairs, office chairs, the couch, lay in bed....

I ain't gonna lie, I went ahead and put my ladies big booty comfort seat on.....haven't had a bad ride since :manny:

Which is nice because in addition to riding for exercise, I also commute and I have no complaints about saddle sores, in grown hairs, pressure burns, nothing.

So stay with the hard seat I have?

FYI I just have a regular bike from Walmart nothing special. But I know I can get up to 15 miles a ride by July

Just did 4 miles

Hills are a bytch

I'm tried as hell :russ:

Hills are fun, imo. But then again so is sprinting out of the saddle.

I know I can run a 7 minute mile, my GPS is set to update I think every 2 minutes when I ride. I want to turn it on 1second so I can see how fast I can get 1 mile or 3 miles or 5 miles.

You probably need to learn how to shift. When I was new, I didn't really know the gears. I knew what was hard and what was easy. But nobody ever really trains you, there's not really a manual. You just gotta ride and experience them.

Depending on how I'm riding, my shyt is like an automatic car. I don't even have to look at my shifters. You know how you accelerate and it goes from first, to second, to third, the down shifts to second....It's the same concept on a bike. I guess muscle memory.

Sometimes I'm just pumping my legs on my highest gear, other times I'm working on my cadence/revolutions per minute/spinning and over a long ride when you know what your goal is you learn what to adjust and when.

My opinion is to keep your current seat for 2-3 months. Because you probably will ride 2-3 times a week at least, and in 1 month that's only 12 rides. 2 months, 24 rides.

You'll need to get a good number of rides in, as well as enough milage on that seat before you know if you want or need to change it.

How long do your rides take you?

If you get 60 hrs on the seat or 30-50 rides, you'll likely have enough experience to think that you want something softer or more firm, bigger, longer, smaller, whatever.
