Get some of these for them..

SHIMANO SH56 Multi Directional Release SPD Cleat

edit: looks like you'd need an adapter for the 3 bolters that you have. Look into some multidirectional release cleats for your shoes though. They're a game changer.

Thanks dude.

I've been using SPD's for years, I prefer them for commuting, riding brake-less track bikes on the streets, or cyclocross or mountain biking.

But for getting good miles in on the roadbike, I go with road specific pedals/cleats.

For instance these Giros will be paired with Speedplay Zero pedals/cleats

Nice, I've heard lots of good things about those speedplay zeros. Was considering on getting a set of them at one point.

I wouldn't risk it. You've tried adding them to you cart and they all said unavailable on bikesdirect?

yup all of them were sold out. Been checking out some Aventon bikes as a backup and those were sold out too... State bikes are the only ones I’ve seen in stock online but I’ve seen some bad reviews

I have these. They were the first pair of cleats I ever bought. I like them. I have a set of shimano double sided pedals (one side is cleated, the other side isn't) for both of my bikes.

I lost a bolt, (ended up finding my spare set) and took my shoes in to a trek store for a bolt and they were like "we don't carry these, we'd recommend these shoes and these cleats and these pedals" I went online and ordered a bunch of replacement bolts then ended up finding my replacement oem bolts.

At this point I don't think I'd switch or try another brand/style.

Trying to stay under $900

You can get something way nicer than a kilo for $900. For that price you could get a Wabi. Unfortunately, in this climate your gonna have to wait to get new or find something used. Lemme do some googles when I get home today

Edit: Wabi is opening back up for orders on their Classic model is september if you don't mind waiting. They also have bare frames available. For $900 you could build something really nice. Either go with their Sub-15 wheelset or some H+Son/Gran Comps from retrogression. That would still leave you with about $300 which could land you much better components than would come on a stock wabi or especially a Kilo TT.
