I'm fighting for a law FOR those people so they don't have to pay ANYTHING except the taxes that they already pay into the system. Slim down the DOD and provide a real health care system.

Supporters of the act, explain something to me: Apparently, these insurance exchanges are supposed to control costs and prevent insurance companies from needlessly jacking up costs of insurance.

Even though I'm a staunch supporter of socialized medicine, this MIGHT work, given two things were tied with it: some type of government health care system and anti-trust statutes.

Neither of these exist relative to insurance companies.

Now, tell me, how exactly are these exchanges supposed to truly reduce costs of insurance when there is nothing stopping insurance companies from colluding in regard to setting prices for insurance?

Germany has something like a single-payer (or even better)...

This law is close to that german system for the fact that it makes health insurers basically "public utilities". Its gonna take years of implementation and improvement but this is a good start.

FDR and LBJ failed to bring Socialized Medicine. Clinton failed. Obama failed.

I joined one and support the Obama campaign because I believed the bullshyt. I went knocking for that puppet.

My new way? Don't support any candidates that settle or get pushed around by the right.
