Where/How did you learn how to make beats? (using FL Studio)

everything sounds clean (drums, melody), the timing is on point. Continue to work with that track, add other elements and variables to make it a complete track if you can. Some times you just have to practice with loops, melodies and drums but then a little more time and more variables to that one can push you to discover things and push your limits.
Admittedly, the drum-loop was a loop that I didn't make. I downloaded it. Is this frowned upon in the world of producing?

not at all. producers use drum breaks all the time.., its actually good to do so. making your own is cool too but being able to find a right combination of a drum break and a sample or creating your own melody over a drum break is somewhat of a skill. i have a guitar and I have some breaks that im supposed to just play guitar over but ive never done it.

like all things theres a time and a place. sometimes you just gotta create your own drum patterns, sometimes a break is a better fit, other times you have to combine elements like mix 2 breaks together, or add your own kick to an existing break or replace the snare in a break...theres tons you can do but its normal

Whatever you do, don't be one of those fools with 200 Gigabytes of Drumkkits and 2 Terabytes worth of instruments

Most classic hip-hop beats were made with 1.44 MB Floppy Disks

Once you become good you'll realize there's only a handful of sounds. If you have 10 different VSTs, chances are 90% of the sounds within them are completely the same and can be deleted.

always better to have maybe 10-15 kicks, snares etc that you know how to edit attack, sustain, release,layer, delay and add effects to versus 100 ones that you will never even hear or use.

@nikkahs B. Wildin I played around with a sample and added drums on top of it. I can't figure out how to spice up the beat up a little bit. Do you mind if I send you the file and see what you can do with it?

I would try to learn logic since you on a macbook. Most things are similar in daws but just named differently

@nikkahs B. Wildin

Worked and got to this. I think my beats are improving, but I want to make them more complex.

it sounds like you are getting familiar with how to get around and what you want to hear. what i would suggest doing now is trying to emulate someone or some sound that you like. unless you do a complete beat remake it might be tough but you can take it into small parts like a drum pattern like so and so or a melody like so and so, deep bass, or switch-ups (changes in sequences) etc.

Any idea where to go to learn? Completely lost trying to figure it out my self. Need something that breaks it down completely for a beginner, most videos just all over steps.

There must be some beginner stuff on youtube at least. I don't know what though.
