I don't need FL Studio, but can you get me a link on how to download/install VST's? Also, what VST's/other resources would you recommend?Do you need it?

Nexus2

Sylenth1
and all of expansions and drumkits that you need
Thank you so much, bro. You're honestly a life-saver. I can't wait to get started.
Breh, I added Nexus to FL Studio 12, but it doesn't make a sound/is in the channel rack as "sampler."
Got it to work, breh. What drum kits would you recommend? I remember in the past I would just get "Kanye West drum kit" or "OVO Drum Kit."Restart the computer and see would it work then
A been go to YouTube and type in soundkits that where I get most of my fromGot it to work, breh. What drum kits would you recommend? I remember in the past I would just get "Kanye West drum kit" or "OVO Drum Kit."
don't worry too much about the fx and mixing and mastering yet. ultimately its extremely important in the final product but you're not making a final product right now. it sounds like you're on the absolute basics...you're a baby deer trying to walk.
so for one, there are a million youtube tutorials on fl (or any other daw you wanna use) that can teach you how to use the program, so check those out. as far as transitions and hooks/verses goes, i'd say don't just listen to songs you like, analyze them, really pay attention to what the differences are between sections. hell, even write down all the elements you're hearing as you listen to a track (or at least what you're finding is different) ie. X happens after the first 8 bars or they took out Y during 'this part' or there's added Z during the chorus, when the vocals came in, etc.
hell, go as far as dragging a song you like into fl and straight up try to copy their structure/sound. i still do that. not only when making beats but when mixing them. that probably sounds kind of wack and unoriginal on it's face as a new guy but anyone who's been doing this for a while (from bedroom producers to hit artists/producers/engineers) do the same shyt. they call them 'reference tracks' and they certainly have their value...even more especially once you have your musical and/or technical abilities on point.
all that said, you're a beginner, don't over-think it. it's not 'so much more complicated than this', particularly when you're starting out. just do what you want to do, be as creative and experimental as your mind takes you, be completely derivative if you want...whatever, just fukk around and have fun with it. polishing it all up comes later.
Do I just need a computer, or do I need a keyboard/MPC/Maschine/all that good stuff? Right now, all I have is a laptop with FL Studio 12. It seems like no great producer uses just their computer. They all have sick setups with keyboards and samplers and stuff. When will I be ready for that? This is great advice.
You're a long way off from making anything that utilizes the full scope of fl studio, so I'd just start by trying to make some basic 2-4 bar loops and seeing if you can string a couple together.
Crawl before you walk, because if you can't make a decent 4 bar loop using completely stock sounds, All the Kanye West drums and extra vsts gonna be a waste.
Start off just going thru the stock sounds in fl and see if you can make a decent loop breh.

are there any pros who use just software? i always see them with materials like keyboards and etc.Believe me software is much faster and easier than those machines you are talking about.
