On 2nd watch, I was :ohhh: in the theatre at Leo. I'm legit annoyed they gave that Oscar to Joaquin for basically getting skinny and being weird. He's already plenty weird so him being creepy isn't a stretch. Rick Dalton was doing some shyt all over the place emotionally.
I usually don’t care but a lot of politics were at play plus we know QT rubs people the wrong way with his brashness.

I would say somewhere in the middle maybe hovering with kill Bill vol 2 and hateful 8 which I do like. But above death proof of course.

Definitely not better than Reservoir Dogs Pulp and JB.

I said this in the other thread that I felt bad for Leo having to actually act his ass off while Brad gets to just chill and be himself and get all the glory.

But I do believe you're selling Jaoquin short, dude killed his role.

Joaquin was good, but I think this Oscar was because of the transformation rather than the actual performance. It happened last year with Rami Malek and the year before with Churchill. It's what the Oscars do with that category, but Leo was the best actual acting performance. If I watch this movie again it'll be because of Leo.
