For the last time. The post was of guys that I stated were better than Tevin Campbell's ass. Those were just guys off the top of my head that I listed that were better than Tevin Campbell; it was not a ranking of the actual singers. You nikkas need to read the posts after that post to get the gist of what is being said, rather than coming in talmbout where I ranked somebody.

Stop getting emo.. I just saw a list, you coli nikkas like to do that top 5 shyt all the time

I ain't emo, but I didn't want to keep writing the same stuff over and over when the posts around that conversation explains what was being stated.

Second of all I don't even like to do lists, because a lot of people don't have any reference points for some of the other eras. So you see a bunch of 80s and 90s guys writing about Tevin Campbell or Jo Jo, but they don't have a reference point for 60s and 70s guys like Eddie Kendricks and Bobby Womack. Anybody that ever heard Eddie Kendricks sing would have a hard time seeing Tevin Campbell over him. That was the point that I was making.

Above the fray.
Funny thing is that’s an original instrumental from The Brothers Johnson... I had no idea that was the case until I found their album recently.. Tevin made this shyt his song though!!! Quincy Jones was the man behind it all anyway.

By the way this is one of my top 5 greatest instrumentals of all time

thanks......just did a quick search and "i'll be good to you" was a hit for the Brothers Johnson in 1976.....I know the version that quincy jones put out on the back on the block album in the 80s.
I'm guessing he wrote / composed that song as well.

Wow. Tevin is alright, but top 3 all time? I am sorry, but think about some of the guys you are putting him above:

1. Sam Cooke
2. Smokey Robinson
3. Michael Jackson
4. Johnny Taylor
5. Marvin Gaye
6. Frankie Beverly
7. El DeBarge
8. Bobby DeBarge
9. Al Green
10. Donny Hathaway
11. Phillip Bailey
12. Jeffrey Osborne
13. Lenny Williams

And many, many, many more. That is not even guys from the deep voice club like Barry White, Teddy Pendergrass and Brooke Benton.
:scust:That list is ass backwards

Another dude that didn't bother to read the other posts before making a comment. You should at least read the context of what was being stated before commenting.
