As a kid of the 90's
I remember Tevin comming on the scene with Prince in his movie "graffiti bridge"

The song was round in round, you couldn't get this kid off radio, and he had range as kid similar to MJ, which he displayed on tell me

Then his voice changed, but he made the proper adjustment and came back with a classic album as a teenager, an had 2 hits that went #1

And

But after that album his career stalled and at the same R&b change

Around 95 r&b was more edgy and sexual something that was opposite of Campbell personality

Even new edition had to switch it up

Tevin failed to make the transition from teenage star to adult star

He is not a goat or a hall of fame singer
He did have hall of fame talent but his potential was never realise after his teenage years

Amazing Technical talent in the manner of how we speak of a Whitney Houston.

But I personally preferred the likes of a KC Hailey, Johnny Gill, and Charlie Wilson.

He is literally a top 3 of all time when it comes to pure vocal talent

The dude is straight up male whitney houston

All time great list he gotta be dropped quite a bit, his hiatus really hurt his legacy

Wow. Tevin is alright, but top 3 all time? I am sorry, but think about some of the guys you are putting him above:

1. Sam Cooke
2. Smokey Robinson
3. Michael Jackson
4. Johnny Taylor
5. Marvin Gaye
6. Frankie Beverly
7. El DeBarge
8. Bobby DeBarge
9. Al Green
10. Donny Hathaway
11. Phillip Bailey
12. Jeffrey Osborne
13. Lenny Williams

And many, many, many more. That is not even guys from the deep voice club like Barry White, Teddy Pendergrass and Brooke Benton.
