Thing is, many are fitness freaks. They associate being a fitness freak with fighting. Problem with this logic is that simply being in good shape doesn't always guarantee:

• A healthy amount of aggression in a fighting situation.
• Testosterone needed to want to take a punch if needed.
• Actual knowledge of how to throw punches, kicks, or how to grapple.
• Desire for some blood to be drawn if someone steps on them (tied to testosterone), instead of organizing a protest and rallying all the girls he knows to hate a straight guy for crossing him.

Now I'm a fitness freak myself, but I also box, wrestled for 7 years, and train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Ain't no gay men training there because they're just not interested. They're usually dancers or into some performing art.

Now with that said, there's nothing wrong with that, do whatever you want and makes you happy, but again, that's not gonna translate particularly well to a fight.
