i dont know man,Bay Area music the WOAT
Go Go is trash and its foundation is based on homosexuals. So is New Yorks history when you remember Bambatta#Notmymecca:henbron:
The bay is basically is the first real hiphop movement to not be comprimised, not tainted by european and homosexual hands.
It is essentially the inspiration for where all hiphop content is derived when you break it down.
Why the bay recieves so much blind hate I will never know. But historically its fingerprints are everywhere and can't be denied.
Too different. Non conforming. Too much bravado. Lightly or heavily, depending on who you ask, associated with Frisco, the gay capital of the country.
Music bangs though. Has since inception.
Also 99% of bay artists haven't gotten respect for lyricism, yet its been there from day one.
Frisco isn't the foundation of Bay Area hiphop so its fine.
The bay was truly ahead of its time, the whole wave that exist now for is basically years has been Mac Dre. Old bay area hiphop is basically what they are passing off as "Trap Music" today. The bay is the only region that can almost always seem to manage to say "been there, done that",and thats what other regions are jealous or afraid of,not sure which one it is.
Frisco does deserve its respect though. There were and still are major players in the music industry from Frisco. They just got a raw deal by being associated with an openly gay city.
And I fully agree with your assessment of the bay originating the trap sound. But I also give credit to the south for tweaking it in a way to make it a nationwide sound. I'm not going to be one of those bay heads who thinks everything came from us and everyone needs to pay homage. I just want to see respect given where its due, and let the history reflect that.
Theres alot of humble uncredited people in this world
Safe to say the bay area has been the most thoroughly disrespected of all the regions when you look at its impact and influence. Really for no reason at all btw,at some point you have to stop being nice and just state facts, telling these clowns to check the scoreboard:henbron:
We had Atlanta nikkas trying to tell the bay that they needed to be grateful for Lil John, when the bay is the reason they have OutKast. The Bay was solidified before we ever heard of a Lil Jon.Atlanta with its strong gay pressence probably would have fallen down into some rabbit hole of techno/house by now if it wasn't for Outkast setting the standard. All due respect and love to Atlanta, but the gay influence is strong enough in Atlanta I think its fair for me to say that is a possibility, that gay people music could have had a bigger impact than hiphop here if not for Outkast.
Stop sneak dissing, that is never the point.Frisco does deserve its respect though. There were and still are major players in the music industry from Frisco. They just got a raw deal by being associated with an openly gay city.

Too $hort, Mac Mall, E-40, Dru Down, Rappin 4-Tay, Ant Banks, etc. They were wack as fukk.
Whenever one of their videos came on it was time to grab the remote. See what's up with Sportscenter...Ricki Lake...Darkwing Duck or something.
