Yea people acting like Fury had both Wilder's eyes swollen shut in a complete dismantlement ala Mayweather vs. Berto or some shyt when in reality Fury spent half of his time feinting and bobbing and taunting in place without landing anything of any consequence in multiple rounds. These were the final stats of the fight:
DtY7UkqVsAI0ctS.jpg

The way the "purists" talking about this you'd think Fury outlanded Wilder 3 to 1; in reality all he did was land a handful of punches more, none of them anywhere near as damaging as the 2 knockdowns Wilder landed. You could also score the first couple of rounds where both guys were feeling each other out and didn't land anything of significance as 10-10 rounds; combine that with the 2 10-8 knockdown rounds for Wilder and a draw is far from an impossible conclusion. Too many people getting sucked up in all the commentators fellating Fury when half of his jabs and hooks were being blocked by Wilder's gloves and arms while Wilder when he did actually land was usually hitting him clean, especially when he went to the body. Fury's offense didn't open up with those clean 1-2s through the guard of Wilder until over halfway through the fight, which is why his power % is so much higher than his total striking %; he didn't commit to anything with any power behind it until he was fully comfortable and that didn't happen until fairly late in the fight. The 115-111 Wilder scorecard is indefensible garbage, but overall I'd say there's been more controversial boxing decisions this year alone.

Wilder lost this damn fight bruh. All that you typed is fine and dandy but he was clearly outclassed tonight. Had no plan B offensively, and defensively, was hit by Tyson's simple jab and one-two. Wilder didnt win a clear round if we being honest. Even the rd's he scored the KD's in, he ended up gassed and outboxed. Dude needs to revamp his cornermen ASAP

I’m definitely not picking him against AJ...

AJ is a physical specimen. He might not got the speed or defense of fury but he can drop you, has technical boxing ability, quickness, athleticism, and doesn’t gas as easily...

Yea... before this fight.... I would've picked Wilder hands down....

But after this fight..... he needs to stay away from that man for a bit and just tighten some things up

Like EVERY PUNCH DW throws, you see it coming a mile away.

Like I was expecting him to switch some shyt up or set shyt up better, but this nicca is really the one trick pony everyone says he is.

The Truth
Exactly. And you can really make a case for Rd 8 being 9-8 Wilder, instead of 10-8. He was getting schooled that entire round, save the knockdown.
Exactly

Even in the 12 as well he started getting tagged and rocked again... like you serious:gucci:

Yeah we know, it’s the same Wilder that knocked out bums and beat Ortiz, nothings changed. But gotdamn he earned this L tonight. That one ref gave him ALL first 4 rounds. That’s fukking insane.

Wilder proceeds to get a punch behind the head knockdown... ok cool. Then Fury proceeds to get up and beat his ass some more for the rest of that round and the next 3:gucci:

Then his right (and left) from God looks like It sniped Fury from the rafters, and dude gets up and proceeds to out box him some more:gucci:

IF anyone can withstand his power this dude is food. He’s been blessed with one hand lord forbids he breaks it.

With all that said..... I wish someone would put a mic in Joshua face and see what he has to say about this fight:lolbron:

If I was him.... I'd troll and challenge them:skip:

Hell, again Jon Jones the other day jokingly said he'd fight Wilder..... I think him and Dana should make that call:mjlol:

Good fight, I ain't paid for a PPV since? I don't regret supporting for these two warriors. Fury showed and proved he amazed me. People crying "Robbery" need to rewatch the fight and mute the commentary, secondly, if this was a robbery Fury would have complained based on his personality, round 1,3, the 1st knockdown and the last knockdown saved him as he was losing most of the rounds. It appears that Fury isn't eager to fight Wilder straightaway possibly we could get another fight in summer, I think Wilder will deal with Breeazeal. Wilder has a lot to learn and fukk that soar loser Ben Davies.

This was a robbery

I went to a boxing party and was telling everyone that fury was gonna make wilder look bad, and wilder only has a punchers chance.

Everyone there was riding wilders nuts, and every single person felt fury should have won by the end of the night

Even after the knocks down in 12 fury got up, ended up landing the better shots and ended the fight on better legs.

Wonder Is there a fighter in boxing history comparable to Wilder... lacks fundamentals but has huge KO power..?? Who in the golden era does he compare to.

My thinking now is where we go from here. Wilder is under no obligation to take a rematch as it was a Draw. He will fight Breazeale. Also Tyson is not really motivated to fight others apart from the true champions.. So I am not sure where we go. Rematch? breazeale?

How you “get schooled” but knock a guy down twice :dahell:?

Exactly! After Wilder checked that c00n reporter. And so called "black" men in here hating hard on another black man. Why on Earth would you hate this man?

I'm sticking and betting on black. Wilder won that fight. Good fight from both men. Hopefully a rematch.

I don't want to see a rematch, it would be the same outcome. Wilder lack of boxing ability was always lacking but the gulf of talent between himself and Fury was eye opening. I used to be one of those who would say Wilder would beat Joshua .. I was wrong as hell. Joshua would punish Wilder. When nikkas are drunk at the crib and can predict what shots wilder was gonna throw you know it's a damn problem. nikka was telegraphing everything..

Fury used to get mocked HEAVY among boxing heads. Dude got all my respect now. I want to see Fury vs Joshua next because I think it's a more interesting fight and a bigger event than any other Heavyweight fight that could be made.Sell out Old Trafford, sing sweet Caroline and rake in the cash
Makes sense for both parties to cut Wilder out.

Wilder should avoid fury at all costs and try to go for AJ now but his negotiating power took a tremendous hit tonight.

Showtime was very political pushing the rematch angle. It's in that networks interest for a rematch to happen. They don't want to lose a potential fury mega fight to DAZN. If Wilder lost Showtime would be damn near dead at heavyweight

How you knock somebody down for a 9 count and they get up and make you do the stanky leg and you gotta hold on for dear life because you about to get knocked out...:scust:

People seem to forget Wilder is the champion and the rules still apply, you have to go out and take his belt convincingly. Getting put on your ass twice and then being saved by a slow count is NOT convincing enough to give a foreigner in American’s belt in America.

:mjpls:
Dap + rep /thread.

All this hoemotional outbursting is laughable. Plenty of fights were one sided until that god blow. Ref saw an opportunity to get that draw with a slow count by walking to his corpse(10 seconds when he moves to get on his knee), and allowing all that BS clinching.

People should be impressed that Fury got the Draw and not the L, cuz he lost by knockout:yeshrug:

It's clear that after the knockdown Fury was still capable of fighting so good call on it not being a knockout.

A legit knockout is when a fighter is absolutely out of the fight so much so that they'd have a minimal chance of beating a 15 count or would get mopped up/knocked down again few seconds later.

No fukking way Wilder could beat prime Mike Tyson.

It’s actually an indictment on the heavyweight division. Wilder would not even be in the top 20 30/20 years ago with his technique.

Exactly,Wilder ain't the only one that "can't box" if WIlders weaknesses haven't been exploited by now.
