And for those saying Wilder needs a new trainer, I think he is a bit long in the tooth for that. You would literally have to deconstruct him from the start and train him again like an amateur. His fundamentals are that bad...if not for one of the hardest punches in boxing history he would be a C-Level fighter.
I don’t think it’s too late. He is who he is but he can benefit from new direction even if it’s limited in scope.

And him looking so flustered isn’t a surprise. Klitchsko is one of the most technical guys of all time and Fury had him looking awful.

This is a fight, you get knocked on your back 2 times you don't deserve to win.
And we can say WIlder can't box which would be accurate, but just watching his skill an amatuer level boxer should be able to knock him out. But somehow he keeps getting the job done,so how long will we continue to deny him and talk about him not being able to box?I don't know how he does it,but he does:wow:
I’m a casual but I don’t think that’s how boxing works
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but a knockdown is only 1 extra point, not the same as a KO or TKO

Not to be one of those guys, but I think this was a pretty easy fight to call.

Wilder was always going to get outboxed. A boxer will always beat a puncher, especially when he only has two punches. It's no surprise that the punch that knocked Fury almost out was the one Tyson didn't see and wasn't expecting; the left hook.

In my opinion, they should settle the fight in the UK before any of them fights Joshua. That will make the Joshua fight between the winner that much bigger. Fury would get stopped by Joshua, who is a much more methodical fighter than Wilder. But he would also get stopped by Wilder who is even more athletic than he is, and love plodding opponents who are easy targets.

Guess we are going to see Joshua v Whyte II. Big money English fight without facing a really dangerous opponent. :manny:
Get all the way the fukk outta here :camby:

He was out on the right, left just pushed him over. The right hit him on the ear and shook his brain stem freezing the legs

Joshua right now would win UD but I think wilder will grow from this fight because this was one of his few fights where he wasn’t 100% confident

It’s actually an indictment on the heavyweight division. Wilder would not even be in the top 20 30/20 years ago with his technique.

Ref did a good job on the count.

But the extra seconds before resuming action.:patrice:
That’s standard if someone gets up.

Makes sure he’s responding to questions quick enough, understands instruction, can walk/stand straight enough, etc. it’s safety protocol. Nothing he did wrong because Wilder would be protesting now.

There’s no excuses, Wilder had opportunities to capitalize and just didn’t. He know he lucky af

I could see Fury outboxing AJ if AJ fights him like he did Povetkin. But even in that scenario I can can still see AJ stopping Fury late.

Joshua would struggle with Fury too.

Fury makes everyone look bad. He's extremely awkward and very long and most of all he's just great at getting people to fight his fight. Wilder was tentative af for the entire fight even after he dropped him on his ass, nearly dead.
