When you look back on it, was it actually WCW that killed FUBU?

The Fat Albert platinum collection killed Fubu

Bizarrely rappers were still wearing Fubu as late as 2001 (Those pleather baseball jerseys with the hood name that Nelly, Nas, Luda and Xzibit wore)
but I think the Fat Albert on the jeans was the last straw and after that it was a wrap.

From 99-02 or so I was loaded up with this and all those other brands somebody listed in here :lolbron:

Black people killed FUBU for not fully supporting it

The name says it all... "For us. By us"

A brand specifically for black culture yet we kill ourselves for these cac brands that don't give a fukk about black people and most who supported the nazis

Yeah people was still rocking Fubu in 2000 and 2001 with the baseball and football jerseys. When they started putting Muhammad Ali on their stuff a lot of people chilled out on them but when Fat Albert showed up on clothing it was a WRAP!

I remember that time. Every rapper was coming out with their own clothing lines. Snoop, Outkast, Nelly, and a few others. My mom bought me a Snoop Dogg jean suit for Christmas one year. :snoop:

We did support it though. It started getting wack when they started putting Muhammad Ali and Fat Albert on their clothing but at that point though the brothers had sold the company so it really wasn't For Us By Us anymore. They had some really nice dress suits though.

I was like this :snoop: when I first saw Kevin Nash rock a FUBU jersey in 1998.

He rocked FUBU MULTIPLE TIMES during that time :mjlol:

FUBU had their highest selling years when I was wearing their gear on National Television weekly. I opened the doors for many people, not just in WCW but worldwide, to start wearing their clothing.
