it is relevant because the corporations purposely ignore positive black artists for the ignorance to the point where artists with degrees like 2chainz change their subject matter to ignorance.
when david banner gets tired of the negativity and gets back to the positive sh1t, he's ignored.

meanwhile white artists like eminem and wackelmore are uplifted making them look better than the black ones.

interscope has the resources to hunt for positive music but instead go to chief keef because that they can simultaneously make money off the ignorance, bury the black community deeper in the negativity and tie the artist to a bad deal. 3 hit combo.

tucker should have gone harder at the record labels and not snoop. because now snoop has been replaced by chief keef. and if we blame chief keef he'll be replaced by some other rapper.

as we blame these rappers the labels make their money. we get weaker, they get stronger.
I believe corporations "ignore" positive black artists because it doesn't sell. I do not believe in this conspiracy to destroy the black community by putting out ignorant rap or rap with negative content. That's bullsh!t to me. They put out what they believe will make their pockets fatter. You got artists like Talib Kweli who have BEEN out. But on no day is Talib outselling Lil Wayne.

And its not really a black/white thing at all. You realize they put out white with negative content too right? EMINEM. Dude raps about drugs, killing people, hating fags, etc. AND HE SELLS MORE THAN ANYBODY. Negative content is just what the masses love.

The problem here is, if rappers are having a stronger influence on your child than you are, then you're parenting skills suck. PARTICULARLY today, since the parents of todays youth grew up in the hip hop generation and know the pros and cons of it, where the parents of the older cats had no idea what hip hop was. Blaming hip hop for the ills of our community is a weak cop out. There are negative influences all around. Teaching your children the negative from the positive is a part of being a parent, but sadly too many in our community are just not up to par.
shytty parenting is here and likely here to stay(thanks to liberals:lolbron:). :manny: Its sad, it sucks, but it's true.

Moreover, I don't think anyone is pointing to rap as a cause.:whoa: At least i'm not... What I'm saying is that if black people are in fact being weighed down, rap music is one of the heaviest weights attached to us. Second only to systemic racism IMHO.

One's ideology as it pertains to hip-hop and society doesn't hinge upon who's side they took in the great war of 2001. It's more about one's taste and personality. There's "conscious" dudes who prefer Jay and there's get money capitalist-minded dudes who prefer Nas. People try to make that shyt some kind of metaphorical statement on society when it was just a rap battle.

Nas won btw.
Hitching your ideological identity to music is corny and something for children and teenagers imo. Weird to see adults taking part in it.

This is as worse as theworldismine13 believing hip-hop can serve as a safety net for neglected kids whose parents are not around or high off drugs.

worldismine is delusional. just like in politics he doesn't check the system. he'd rather pick and choose rethugs because it looks good bashing rethugs. he doesn't check democrats or neo c00ns because that's what he supports. complaining about hiphop and black entertainers gets us no where. they will get rid of them just like they'll get rid of barack and put another puppet in place. does that change anything? no.

that's why i dont waste my time going back and forth with him because he's a distraction from the real issue. the entertainment system is designed to fail black ppl. be they artists, actors or the consumers.
he posts some sh1t complaining about black ppl then runs off...

i'm not even concerned about going at "niccas" like him, napoleon or bigdeeot anymore. i'm go at the big fish now. c00ns gotta survive and eat too. i shouldn't hate on their hustle.

i never said anything like that, what i said is rap music is promoting the anti academic parts of african american culture and its not positive or uplifting

If rap music had no effect on our minds...then these cac's are wasting millions of dollars on marketing and advertisement.

Rap works the same way any other marketing does. And face it, people are highly susceptible to marketing.
