Giannis needs to half court creator next to him ie Booker/Harden/Beal. Middleton can't make it happen at the level needed to win a championship.
Bron had the same problem before he teamed up with Wade.
We used to complain about his halfcourt offense, lack of post game, outside shooting etc. but with the right players he turned into Thanos. Same can happen for Giannis.
Giannis is in his 8th year in The League. The comps to Bron were always off base and outta touch, as while LeBron didn't exclusively operate out the post nor was a deadeye shooter, he always could shoot and had a substantially more refined game than Giannis at every mile marker...
The idea that Bron couldn't shoot or create in the half court was always crazy overblown...
Giannis is worse on every point and the shifting of blame to Middleton is convenient for a guy who been racking up trophies the last couple years. Middleton probably is better suited as a third option but Bron with no one on Middleton's level led a Finals run in Y4 and showed he could knock down shots when needed...

I hate when people compare young LeBron to giannis and Simmons. It's an insult. Young LeBron was nimble and agile and could make his own shot in the halfcourt. He wasn't that efficient of a shooter, but he had a jumper, and he had games were he could really get hot and drain like 6 threes.
And he was a way better finisher than both guys. He also used to be a better ball handler back then.
And he always had a way quicker first step than those guys.

Its a lazy ass comparison (the Simmons one too) and rooted in The Culture's deep fascination with minimizing, discrediting, and shytting on anything Bron has given the sport...

It's close but he's been the best player on a team that claimed the best record in the NBA two times in a row. You can't make a claim that he didn't deserve both MVPs.
This thread reminds me of Harden threads when he was in Houston. All Giannis needs is a better team around him and all this hate will fizzle away the way it did with Harden (and LeBron, and KD, and...)
And it's funny too because I ain't even a Bron stan like that. I acknowledge the flaws in his game. I still feel his post game isn't as great as it should be for a 6'9 forward. His handles and ability to create a shot are little bit stiff (but it's understandable given his leg size (

I’m not gonna dump on him too much . He’s pretty humble, and I respect that ESPECIALLY when you KNOW your game is flawed .
Yeah, young LeBron is a better player, especially offensively. Defensively Giannis is more impactful, however.

He came into the league as a non-top-10 pick and worked his way up to top 5 player status. Humble and hardworking all the way. I don't understand the accusations of not working on his game, or the overall hate for the player.
I want to think it's not motivated by some pseudo-militant bullshyt but you never know with this place.
