Its kinda funny, because can you imagine giving someone from the early 1700's a run down or a book from now?

You know how much of it would sound like ducktales, magic, witch craft or straight up crazy. All simply because you were not alive to experience it at that time. now with that same book, imagine if its been passed around world wide and everyone took what they wanted from the source and made there own idealiogies based on what they gathered.

I can only imainge someone from the 1700 reading a blog from 2015.

"Today that young thug dropped, Not sure if I want to download it digitally, pirate it or drive to the bestbuy and pick up a physical copy" I'll be flying to japan to see his show next month. I pray to god that I can make it.

That alone is enough to start mass confusion, now a whole book of that? Yeahhh good luck. Basically just because at the surface it seems unrealistic by our day and age standards and times doesn't mean it fake.

First, a question: Are slaves oppressed?

slav·er·y
ˈslāv(ə)rē/
noun
  1. the state of being a slave.
"thousands had been sold into slavery"
synonyms: bondage, enslavement, servitude, thralldom, thrall, serfdom, vassalage
    "thousands were sold into slavery"
    • the practice or system of owning slaves.
synonyms: bondage, enslavement, servitude, thralldom, thrall, serfdom, vassalage
      "thousands were sold into slavery"
    • a condition compared to that of a slave in respect of exhausting labor or restricted freedom.
:comeon:

yeah, what else do you fukking call it when you are captured , sold with out any say-so in the manner only to then find that your freedom is restricted for a certain amount of time against you will. and don't let me talk about the exploited labor that you have to do, if that is the case

Since none of that was condoned in the OT or NT on the part of Hebrews, but was a widespread practice in all the surrounding civilizations, especially Rome and it's territories, I'll take that as a 'yes'.

We are agreed that in your opinion and according to the definition you've supplied, 'slaves' are oppressed.

With that in-mind, please read Isaiah 58:6 & Luke 4:18.

This is so typical of Christians. You ask a legit question and get some ultra obscure unrelated bullshyt ass quote. And you probably thought you was dropping gems or some shyt like that

'the bible predicted everything that would happen today'
yeah I'm sure the bible predicted AA men getting shot to death en masse for basically existing :camby:
I'm sure the bible also predicted that ISIS would be killing people in high motherfukking definition
what does the bible say about trump's chances for presidency?
thy willeth be doneth by a caceth with faketh hair? FOH you shyt spewing brainwashed imbecile

If you buy a Hebrew slave, he may serve for no more than six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. 3 If he was single when he became your slave, he shall leave single. But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife must be freed with him.

4 “If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave and they had sons or daughters, then only the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. 5 But the slave may declare, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children. I don’t want to go free.’ 6 If he does this, his master must present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door or doorpost and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will serve his master for life.
Exodus 21:2-6 Bible Gateway passage: Exodus 21:2-6 - New Living Translation

According to Exodus 21:2-6 , points to another conclusion . here the bible specifically says gives how-to's on slave holding, including how long to hold a human being. Note that he has no say-so in the manner. also , you mention that slavery was widespread inthis time during civilization, this we at least can agree on. However how does the idea of slavery, a man made concept and clearly an obvious wrong, doing in an document that is supposedly "gods" words? the bible did not have a problem with setting out the ten commandments, why does it hesitate to speak out against this issue?

As I've explained many, many, many times: Religion is our (meaning 'Black' people) best weapon against 'White Supremacy'. This is an indisputable fact of history.

You've inserted an incoherent term into your question. Remove it.

My thunn said slavery started in 1800, that really gives you a look into how dumb, gullible, uneducated, and slave minded the African American christian mind is
