the thing about weeds, is the creator of this series also created OITNB, so with this being the 3rd season of that show that came out, I hope it doesn't totally go in the crapper as well. I haven't had time to watch season 3 of OITNB, but it's in my netflix queue for when I get time.
I stopped watch orange during the 2nd season. Zero desire to ever watch it again.

The Mexican half-breed became the family savior, the wasp son became rich and respectable because weed was legal, the jew son was portrayed as an evil a$$hole who deserved to fall.

Except that the Mexican kid was able to be the good kid because of his parents and brothers law breaking with no acknowledgement or guilt, the wasp kid was able to be rich because of his mother and jew brother's lawbreaking, the jew kid who was the smartest and did the most dirt in the name of the family paid for it - while Nancy once again skated through life and consequences.

And I wouldnt have beem surprised if an outtake stated Nancy aborted an unknown black son.

I binge watched the whole thing. Heylia and her family and their role bothered me.

Nancy's mary-sue-ness and teflon plot armor bothered me most.

Lot of comedy but ultimately a bad taste in the mouth, and the feeling that ginji or whatever her name is has issues.

It seems like a lot of people didn't like Nancy's ability to get through every situation without consequence. Like she stole a baby from a goddamn kingpin and he only had the ability to send one guy to threaten her???

I say it all the time. WEEDS season 1-3 is a top tier series. They should've never got rid of Conrad and Heylia. And they should've found a way to stay in Agrestic for at least another season. Still the series is piff. I re-watch seasons 1-4 all the time. And I like season 8.

This is exactly it for me. Nancy did shyt every season that would've gotten anyone else iced and buried in the desert somewhere to get discovered in 1000 years by archaeologists. The Mexican drug cartel isn't going to let you get away with killing and sending to jail their top dogs anymore than the FBI is going to give you insurance checks when your corrupt, secret husband disappears and is later found dead.

Nancy was supposed to be a milf, I get it, but c'mon now. She didn't have magic p*ssy. In real life, any one of those dudes she played wouldn't be falling in love with some brain-wacked, low-level weed dealing, 48-year-old shytty mom in tramp clothes. Definitely not to the point of putting themselves and their business at risk to save her all the goddamn time. Ain't no drug dealers making hundred thousand dollar investments in basic white ladies either :rudy:

The first seasons were great because the supporting cast was great. Conrad, Heylia, U-Turn, Celia, Doug, ect. When they started dropping off, the show dropped off. Sure, you can find a decent episode here or there in any random season, but without a decent supporting cast, the overreaching storylines were straight garbage. :francis:

One of the GOAT show fall offs.:scust:

I was always :dahell: that she got 3 years for Pilar's murder. She was connected as fukk in Mexico, they would have had her killed in prison before lunch on her first day.

It got to a point where it felt like this show and Californication were trying to out-ridiculous each other.

And we were supposed to just believe that
Esteban got off'd in jail (after Nancy turned him in) and, in less than 2 years, everyone he had ever worked or associated with just forgot? Didn't he have other kids or family that would've wanted revenge for that mess? I know there was some boring thing about a junkie daughter at some point. You'd think someone would come after her after she made that first million and had a fukking franchise of weed stores.

It's making me irritated just thinking about the logic jumps this show expected me to take.
