I think the hype started when they realized that 6'6 QBs who run a 4.7 40, have a faster 3 cone time than Cam Newton, elite arm talent and has experience running a full on pro offense with checks and audibles, don't come around very often.


But yeah Dak "tim Tebow" Prescott is a better pro prospect

These scouts don't know shyt anyone who saw Manziel as anything more than a 3rd/4th round project don't belong in scouting. This shyt has really went south ever since Tebow went round 1 I don't understand this chase to get the next big star QB. Guys like Tebow,Ponder,Manuel,Weeden,Manziel and several more had no business being drafted anywhere near the first 3 rounds of the NFL draft teams just losing they minds reaching for QB's. QB position is overrated as fukk and one of the reasons I tune out more and more each year QB play is just asscrumbs because teams keep reaching for scrubs time and time again.

These guys played in the Charlie Ward era they would get shyt on left and right Charlie was better than all them nikkas I mentioned but NFL didn't even wanna fukk with him. Cats like Brady who had success at a school like Michigan even though Michigan did everything in their power to give Drew Henson the rub goes in the 6th round while these system ass QB's getting top 10 money shyts comedy.

yeah guys with video game numbers in QB friendly offenses. Let me guess Sonny Cumbie,Graham Harrell and Jason White got a raw deal too. Jason White won a Heisman and finished in top 5 the following year didn't get drafted and barely even get a tryout where all the outrage over him?

The Carson Wentz hype is media generated. The media really shapes folk minds. Reminds me of Jake Locker hype.

Actually I wanna just give him the benefit of the doubt cause he looks like a hard worker who just is not talented enough and busts.
Or the guy who went to the right market and could somehow work out.
The top two qb's were both choices made out of marketing and using draft placement status as a stop gap given what both org'a just went through.
Or in the case of the rams picking the golden boi from cal to match where they moved to.

Eagles did the same, for their style of org and character.
By getting the regular blue collar worker family looking white guy.
who is already balding and looks to fit into the narrative that the eagles are a grassroots org alternatively.
Watching the first two picks in the draft was basically watching two org's market themselves via draft picks.
Exactly how they are by just general perception semantics at play.

rams = just moved to Hollywood needs the golden boi QB

Eagles = coming off a Hollywood style coach and now back to their grassroots blue collar roots as an organization.
So they draft the visual expression of this direction
