This. The game has never been the same since. Puff wasn't all bad by any means but his popularity was based on him being an entertainer with little substance. Before Puff anyone who tried that got shamed and called a sellout by the rest of the rap community and then rap fans. But Puff never caught heat the way Hammer or Young MC did. Not sure exactly why.
