When I got my first cell in 2002 I was 17....and I had a variety of nokia/cingular phones for the next few years, there wasn't nearly as much empathizes on phones back then, of course you could do less with them, but people weren't losing it over the Nokia or Ericcson new models...Can you imagine kids in high school today, stunting on people without iPhones? The entitlement and status behind things like that at that age?

breh those sanyo phones were built like tanks. I dropped mine by accident in a urinal (thankfully it was one of those 'soak' urinals) and it kept on working after :pachaha: :scusthov:
dropped it on concrete bunch of times...took it like a tropper

Showing my age a bit but :manny:

I remember having two batteries for this SOB, the regular thin one, but then a massive backup that was bigger than the phone itself. Eventually moved on to Startac's which are still the GOAT phones, IMO.

When 9/11 happened, the only way I could get through to my parents was to switch the band on the phone to the old Analog network. That was before the government took control of that network. Shady ass shyt.
