My 10 year old laptop is on it's last legs and is pretty much :flabbnsick:

I'm torn between building a PC, getting a surface pro 2, and getting a tablet. Wouldn't mind the nexus 7 but I think I'm leaning towards a 8 incher :mjpls:

What do ya'll got? Does one cancel out the other? I might just scrap the desktop since my time for gaming is limited.

You gotta figure out what your main use for it is going to be first. If it's just browsing or whatever, you might can get by with like a tablet or a chromebook. If your use is more along the lines of your typical college student, or maybe it's more about media use (videos, streaming, music, etc.) then you might need a laptop or something. And if you get a laptop, shyt like the processors and the hard drive come into discussion.

Always start with the basics. Get a laptop. Tablets are for media consumption, not creation.

-PC cancels out a laptop, unless you're on the move a lot
-tablet for personal media satisfaction; dont expect to get any real "work" out of it
-decent smart phone is a must, this also can cancel out a tablet

I disagree its a reason way laptop out sell PC by far. Now for gaming PC is the way to go. But for most everything else a laptop is more than sufficient.

In my opinion, unless you're a gamer or just prefer a stationary item, Laptops over PC every day.

I really wish Asus drops these in the US soon. I heard its coming but I doubt to tmobile. Would be cool if Samsung hopped on this:

The iMac is my main "creator" machine and still new-ish. The Air would be just so I could handle computer specific tasks in a small package. The Pro has great specs but I don't want the CD drive. I'd rather have the form factor of the Air, some ports and the light weight
I meant the 13" Retina Pros they don't have a cd drive. You get better better specs with about half a pound more weight and a little less battery life.
