you dont check scores beforehand? :leon: i wont read a review until after i see it but i'll check to make sure its not getting terrible scores so i dont waste my time

You can't worry about that man. We all observe art and entertainment through our own unique lenses. Movies I thought were trash have been praised to the high heavens and movies I've thought were genius have been slandered and ridiculed. Don't let other people's opinions (and scores) rob you of what might have been a tremendous experience.

For movies just released to theaters I rely on RT. For older films I check imdb. But ultimately if I want to see a movie I'll see it regardless of critical acclaim.

i dunno breh, the strategy i use for picking movies usually seems to work out. its not very often i find myself watching something thats trash and in those situations its usually something i decide to ignore the rating and watch even tho the shyt is rated a 5 or something :manny:

:ohhh: put me on

MoviePass.com

I pay $35/month to see everything in theaters.....

...you can only see each film once (technically ;)), you can't see 3D/IMAX releases, and you can only see one movie every 24 hours......

But I saw like 45-50 movies through the end of June.....so I saved about 50% on movie tickets.

This sounds like a good idea. And it's unlimited. Unfortunately I rarely go to the movies. Just saw transformers and before that last movie I saw was the last fast and furious. I like the concept tho.

I like Rotten Tomatoes just because I can read a good portion of professional movie reviewers opinions on stuff in one spot.

IMDB only works once the dust has settled, 2-3 years. The Simpsons Movie is fantastic but it was in the top 5 during the first week of release.
2-3 year old movies (and older) and

With the passing of Roger Ebert, Outlaw Vern is the only reviewer left whose reviews I read consistently. Of course I check the usual sites like RT, IMDb and Metacritic but I only use those to look into high scoring movies that aren't on my radar or I've never heard of.
