I could listen to this album, Replacements' "Tim" and Dinosaur Jr's "Green Mind" on rotation forever and never get bored (may want a mix with fugazi/minor threat/bad religion/descendents/minutemen/social distortion to throw on once in awhile, especially when i need something angrier).

Thanks for inspiring me to listen to Tim now :ahh:

been listening to Deah Cab For Cutie for the past two days :banderas:

We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes is a fukking classic :ohlawd:

anyone else a fan?

I saw them a Bumbershoot last year and they played "Transatlanticism" in its entirety. One of the greatest shows I've ever been to.

Side note, I listen to so much music that I couldn't do a top ten but everyone that has RATM and/or Beach House on their list :blessed:

Traces in snow. A red line grows through and leads me below. Nothing on this side ties me.
:to:

One step, one glimpse of an eye
One moment can change everything
Wait here 'til my words spread across the sky
And into the chambers of every soul

:to: such a sad song if its about what I think it is

best grunge album to me is easily:

Superunknown.jpg

although there are many songs with a sludge/alt metal sound. Very very very Close second is Ten by far and then Dirt

I fukking love The Replacements..always puts me in the best mood

I really enjoy Kiss Me On a The Bus and Little Mascara

Really tho, Tim is a flawless album

grunge is that shyt :myman:

Looking back, Nirvana's definitely my #1 rock band, been into them for decades and still can throw it on and :dj2:

What's your favorite album? Mines Bleach

The other night I couldn't sleep and found myself watching so many live videos of theirs for like 2 1/2-3 hours

This set is like an hour long, but it's soo good

Tim and Let it Be are flawless, Pleased to Meet Me and Hootenanny are damn good, almost there but not quite. Even their later albums after they "sold out" have their moments. Westerberg and co. birthed so much of modern rock it's silly.

Nice link. Now I know what I'll be watching next time I can't sleep :myman:

My favorite album's In Utero...listened to it at exactly the right time and place in my life. Their discography's pretty much flawless (as long as one has a taste for their sludgy, Melvins-inspired early stuff...which, since you picked Bleach as your favorite, I'm assuming you do). The rawer production and songwriting on In Utero, however, pretty much sent me on a direct course towards Sonic Youth etc. and the rest is history.

Radiohead was the first band i really got into. Elliott Smith- XO was a gateway album, thats still one of my favorites.

1. Jimi Hendrix (Experience)
2. The Smiths
3. Husker Du
4. Bad Brains
5. Fates Warning
6. Celtic Frost
7. Cheap Trick
8. Weezer
9. Nirvana (used to despise them)
10. The Beatles
11. AC/DC
12. Dire Straits

I LOVE Chuck Berry, Johnny Watson, Muddy Waters etc. if that counts, and also add Joy Division if post punk counts, otherwise that's about it.

right here. listen to them nearly everyday. the last time they played in my city before garcia died i was 13 so i didn't get to go :rudy: not interested in ANY of the current day shyt/side projects/DSO.

favorite years are 83, 89-90 (with brent), 77, 72-74. favorite garcia song is "sugaree". favorite weir song is probably "throwing stones" or anything off Ace.
