What I'm trying to figure out is........

Why would a 13-year old need a babysitter? I can understand if you have a bunch of younger siblings, you might need someone older to keep everyone in line. If it's just him and a couple of siblings, that's a little weird.

The grooming thing makes sense though. He probably had a crush on her because she IS attractive. She knew it but I can't tell if she groomed just because or...if she saw he had hoops potential and wanted the $$$$. Teen boys are a lot more malleable and fragile than people realize. An attractive older woman can have these young fellas wrapped around their finger.
