Black men spend most of their lives tailoring their appearance to be acceptable to white people

Some of these black men reach a level of success or financial comfortability where they care less about being presentable to white people. Sometimes this happens when they're in their 40s

A better question would be why people like op care so much, and the reason most likely has a connection to my first sentence

Because they no longer want to be or need to be versatile regarding their hair. 40yrs of switching between a dozen diff hairstyles gets old and some are cool with sticking to one. The only one that they couldn’t do because it wasn’t versatile like the rest.

The Other A
I did at that age

My hair type won't lock, too curly but I started rocking that other style that's similar, that free braid look. Like Jim Jones and justin fields and other mfs...

I did it first just to try some new shyt growing my hair out... first compliment I got from a chick was literally "that look good on you, damn I wanna suck yo dikk"

Been wearing it like that ever since :snoop:
