Monkey-see, monkey-do. Idk why people like to ignore the fact that Chief Keef - Don't Like video sparked off the trend of damn near every young nikka in the United States trying to grow dreads. Then the more people that grew dreads, the more others wanted to follow and the trend is still going (even with the older crowd). Yes, black people have always had dreads but NOTHING like the way it has been since Keef/Chicago blew up

I’d go as far back as to lil Wayne. The influence of face tats and locks are part of his legacy
