Everything has been about profits, but now since it’s out in the open and more aggressive, everyone’s just ramping up to squeeze the most out of everyone for everything.

Some of you all may be old enough to remember when there was a “gas shortage” back in 2009 and it was over $5.00/gallon.

Then they decided charged us 7 cents per bag for bags at the grocery store, and had a tax on soda and candy.

Then we had a chicken “shortage”, now it’s a housing “shortage”, shrinkflation on foods, and car companies sharing your driving data and raising your rates.

What do you all think is next on the the list of shyt to get a big price bump for no good reason?

I think it’s birth control products, since less people are having kids, and we can’t have that.

The thing that's so funny to me about capitalism is that it has too incentives that are at odds with each other. You want people to pay higher prices but you don't want to give them higher wages. Where the fukk are they supposed to get the money to buy things if they aren't getting paid enough?

I notice price have basically like 30% increase but I'm fortunate for it not to bother me that much. Cuz i could always do it myself if i wanted to. But the whole not scrubbing the feet as a standard just blows me because that's literally the whole point of a pedicure, especially a spa pedicure!

Yeah I see people complaining about how expensive things are and how the inflation is terrible but consumer spending has not slowed down in the least. They use that data when people slow on buying things to give how bad things are. We have known companies are price gouging but we still are buying the goods. So in the companies eyes there's no reason to drop the price. We just convinced them that they weren't charging us enough in the first place
