I have the same scenario, but I went from the 7 to the 14 Projust recently went from an iphone 7 to an iphone 13....
iphone 13 is a beautiful phone mayne

My Iphone X is started to act up on me. shyt keep cutting off

Funny how some peoples phone evolution went.
I went from a flip to the 1st iphone. Probably the biggest.
So i actually had iphone experience before android.
Went until the 3s. The 3s broke, and i got an HTC as a quick replacement.
And i remember digging the customization i could do way more. Then i had a choice between the galaxy 3 and an iphone 4...i messed around with both and the galaxy to me was just cooler.
Never went back...so its funny to me seeing some people didnt start with iphone first then went to iphone later. I thought everyone started with iphone lol
Also the percieved upgrade from older generation androids to an iphone is kinda bad timing. Because Android didnt start truly beating iphone to me overall until say...s5 /note 3 era. Even though the s3 was a huge leap for them also. But i think s5 amd note 3 were an issue when they came out.
Htc had cool shyt also
Iphone was looking sus until the 6 when it had a bigger phone, and got a good boost from the note 7 fiasco and then the iphone x
