I'm assuming most of us in here are in the 30yrs+ range with some a bit below that.
For me I think my most favorite console generation was the 6th generation with the 7th generation really really close. Some of my fondest memories were created then and it was at the time when I had way more time to game as responsibilities were mainly school.
Smash Bros Melee single handedly carried that generation for me. GTA San Andreas and Dreamcast with the blassics during it's life span were something to be experienced during the time.
7th gen though was amazing as well and really left a long lasting impression on me specifically with the rise of online MP and more prominent exclusives.
Third and fourth generation consoles I was too young to really appreciate them at the time. The type of games that released during the 96~2004 run were INSANE though.
