If a team has an imperfect record in their dynasty run then that would be an imperfect run compared to a dynasty that goes undefeated. The team that goes undefeated has a perfect dynasty by virtue of record. It is what it is.
The metric being used en masse is extremely relevant. Using superlatives that only one subscribes to doesn't change reality.

There is no "imperfect dynasty"...we'll be here till 2569 seeing who's "standing on it" last.

Fragile...maybe the Patriots.

Very dominant in terms of W/L and rings but they didn't pass the eye test except for 2007....and that's when they lost.

They were dominant in a frustrating way because they always won...not because they felt unstoppable.
Disagree. The 2004 Patriots were juggernauts, so were the 2014 and 2016 Patriots. Youre letting close Superbowl games cloud your judgment.

Norfeast groovin…
Yep the three peat club is a select and elite one. No professional sports team regardless of sport will ever pull a 8- peat like the Celtics did in the 1960s.

By the way , I forgot to mention the 1952-1954 Minneapolis lakers on this list.

Exactly, I’m not getting what’s so hard to understand. One dynasty is a very rare and elite type dynasty run personified by perfection and the other is the more common type of dynasty run.
