He can't really sing anymore breh. Well at least not like he could on his first few albums.

Apparently he was never supposed to be singing in a soprano voice like that and it ruined his vocals.

He gave us everything he had. :wow:
A shame, breh’s catalog speaks for itself and will hold him down tho

Uhs just based off reunion, absolute favorite Maxwell song . I saw Maxwell 3 times and he performed it once.

I attended his concert, which was really good, but noticed he didn't perform ANY songs off embrya.. Not even matrimony

Which made me wonder am I the only one who thought that was his best album... :jbhmm:
He experimented on the Embrya joint . Never seen him live, but it would be cool if he did a good 15 mins.

I meant to say falsetto, not soprano. But yeah, 3 undeniable classics will exist forever. Embrya might be the only album ever that people disliked when it came out, only to later be a GOAT R&B album once you "understand" it.

Reunion is most def a fav. I can see why he doesn't perform it over the popular others, but it's most def a true fan cut.

His Unplugged album is his best album IMO. 35 minutes of a journey by an artist who masterfully controlled the crowd like a puppet master. That joint kickstarted my love of live albums. Then I’d go UHS, Embrya, BSN, then Now

The guy puts on a really good show. Money well spent. Joe and Anthony Hamilton opened up for him. Anthony Hamilton was good but it seem like Joe was just their to collect a check, felt like he rushed thru all his hits in 10 minutes. Just him on stage, no band, no DJ. Just la la la Thank you Goodnight. Maxwell had a whole set. Stage lit up, dancers, band, back up singers, jumbo screens

That was a good time... when he did lifetime i was singing every word.. the women in the row with me were laughing at me.. i didnt care. That song got me thru a dark time :mjcry:
