Unpopular opinion, 'Now' is his best album. I had to sneak and buy the album because I remember my parents making it a thing to say "you're gay if you listen to a man sing". f**k that. Dude made/makes great music.

Urban Hang Suite, EASILY. That's a masterpiece album really. And to think that the label was sitting on that album for 1-2 years before they felt comfortable releasing it once they saw the success D'angelo had with his 1st album.

Embrya is a GOOD album but it lacks those epic highs UHS had. Also I feel its a bit overproduced.

The other albums have great songs scattered with OK stuff. Maxwell never put out a bad album, but I go back and listen mostly to UHS and Embrya.

Honestly, u can't go wrong with any Maxwell album. His music is for any season of the year. Maxwell is the male Sade.


Funny because I brought Maxwell first 3 albums at the Sound Garden here in Baltimore. Worth it too

He can't really sing anymore breh. Well at least not like he could on his first few albums.

Apparently he was never supposed to be singing in a soprano voice like that and it ruined his vocals.
