Fila and Puma athleisure wear is bubbling right now in NYC, it’s going to continue through the fall.

It’s in that Champion kinda lane where it’s still down to if you can put an outfit together, you’re not gonna b fly “just cuz” you wore a Fila fleece.

Why in god’s name are these trendy right now?

I see several people wearing them daily.

Because they are the father of the chunky sneaker trend that was hot last couple years. I've never liked them even back in the day. But you gotta understand that people wearing them have no context. These were never popping it's fake nostalgia. I still give them props for starting a trend even balenciaga was jocking. People are working their way back to the source of that inspiration.
