Turn the TV off between games. Run the panel clear when you're done. Turn the TV off if you pause for more than a minute. No burn in. People using fear of burn in as an excuse is old. All you have to do is not be stupid.

True, dudes acting like there are no measures to combat burn-in

Don’t worry about burn in

I suffered back on my B7 ... went to sleep with a fighting game on and for whatever reason PlayStation didn’t go into rest mode ...

Called LG ... they came out replaced the shyt FOR FREE... and it was well outta warranty

LG has since implemented the AI shyt that dims the screen around the logos (you won’t notice) it’s been three TVs since then I can say burn in is not an issue

YOU DESERVE AN OLED, there is not other option.

TCL 6 series 55 inch Is $650 A 55 inch Hisense HG9 is $750.

These are the correct posts. nikkas gonna be spending $1400+ on a tv then turnaround and buy another when the next "required" tech hits a couple years later :mjlol:. These options give you all you need for this gen, and if tv dies, then at least you didn't spend over 1k on it :bryan:

We’re in between the tech shifting to more accommodate 4K. It’s not advisable to buy a high end 4K TV this year unless it’s an LG OLED. All 4 ports are HDMI 2.1 on those but they still need firmware to fix issues. It’s probably better to wait until 2021.

There is likely no technology that will require above 2.1 for the next several years, could be 5 to 10. If you always wait until next year, you'll never buy anything. There will always be small improvements, but the technology is mature. If you want to take advantage of one of the new consoles, it's not likely to get any better.
