the internet
No excuse for historical IGNORANCE young man

When I was in my early 20s in the 90s like most my peers we WANTED TO KNOW about the Old School Artists like the Cold Crush Bros.... Eddie Cheeba.. The Furious 5 etc.

Cause we loved the music and the culture....

If you claim to have that same passion then don't make excuses for being unaware....

You have the luxury of the internet you can pull up any old school track you want

Do you research... It's fulfilling
man I remember going to the music stores w/ the elitist heads just to look at music and talk about it.

shyt is different now...
...I dont think being a hip hop head is really a thing anymore to the young cats.
They just consume whatevers poppin.

sad to say ...its partly not thier fault :manny:

when i was younger....stations always use to have throwback mixes....hell some urban stations had whole days dedicated to it..

like old school wednsdays where they played nothing but the old school....

and the club deejays always had a old school segment part of his mix

like funkmaster flex would do...so you got familiar and respected the cats of yesteryear

nowadays...they dont do it...everything has to be whats trending or poppin

thier is NO RESPECT for nostaglia

I dunno what you want me to say, like what you like...I warned you though
I'm not hating, it's entertaining lol. I checked some interviews. He doesn't try hard. It's just so random how he seems so chill and normal but the eccentricity will seep out a bit. Reminds me of George Cliton.

Unfortunately you right.
I used to do the same thing.

It's just to easy to consume music now but it's also easier to gain some knowledge and perspective on the music. Some cats just dont want to do that.

One of those rappers that for some reason I never really took time to check even though I remember loving that Masters of Illusion album. Maybe because at the time it was harder to get his stuff in Europe.

However I always salute young brehs like @Rozay Oro who go back and educate themselves on older rappers. :salute:
