TYRONE GA!
- he made festus cry by trying to turn the team on him by lying
- tried to do a us vs front office mentality
- told Jerry West to not show up at practices
- wouldn’t let assistant coaches talk to press because they might steal his job
- pushed mike Malone out because paranoid Malone would get his job
- said Harrison Barnes was possessed by a demon for his poor play
- said I will pray for him when Collins came out as gay (multiple gay people in warriors)

There’s much more. Teams call the warriors to get back info and once they find these types of things out, there is a reason he can’t even get an interview

Took the Warriors from being a joke to a top 3 defense in the league.

I feel he was instrumental in the development of Steph Curry as a Point Guard too. We all knew he could shoot but Mark Jackson made him learn how to set the table for others before he ate.

Hence, The Chef :manny:

He's not a very good coach:yeshrug:

Mike Brown isn't a head coach anywhere and I don't here you nikkas complaining. And he won 66 games and went to the Finals and mutiple ECF.

Above the fray.
Yes, your point?
Mark seems to be old school Christian, like our grandmothers were. That doesn't fit with modern sports culture, and definitely not in the Bay Area.

So yes, his traditional religious values are part of the reason why he's had difficulty getting rehired...not the only reason. but it plays a part. You brushed that part off like I was making it up. He might be over the top with it it, but it's almost as if they want a person of faith to keep that in the closet, while championing people who reveal what their sexual orientation is.

====================
I had personal experience with this recently. I told my aunt that nobody cares what your beliefs are at work, and you get paid to work..not to convert people, preach, pass out tracts. Gay dude at her job is trying to get her out of the paint. She thought that because nobody ever reprimanded her for it it that it was okay, nah.
I say the same thing to her that I would say to MJ or any other overtly religious person. If you carry yourself in a certain manner, you won't ever have to try to convert anybody..they will see the peace that surrounds you and ask you where it comes from.

What players don't fukk with him?
I don't know how true the reports about former staff/players not messing with him are, but if you recall.......when they won the first ring..ONLY Harrison Barnes looked for him to personally thank. I thought it was a classy move by HB, but looking back the fact that he was the only one to do it......speaks to how the rest of the GSW organization feels about Jackson.

That doesn't make him a victim.

There are plenty of people of faith the NBA. Steph Curry himself is a huge Christian athlete. But there's no way you are going to operate in a modern NBA without having an environment inclusive to everyone. Mark didn't do that. :camby:

You are, perhaps deliberately, avoiding the fact that I've used the term "old school Christian". I think everybody reading that term understands what it means. Keep posting smilies to mask that, though.

Smilies or no smilies, that has nothing to do with Mark Jackson not fulfilling a major job requirement asked of a modern NBA coach ie creating an inclusive environment for management, players, and fans. Steve Kerr might do that better than anyone.

"Old school Christian" is a copout.
