phillips one blade. you can use it wet with shaving cream, gets pretty close

when I get razor bumps I get them bad, I just brush the whole area with a hard bristle brush and they are gone the next day.

Thread reminded me of the time I asked a breh at work this......and he acted like he had no idea what razor bumps were
Not that he doesn't get them, that he didn't even know what a razor bump WAS :russ:
Dude was in his 50s too :francis:, know his ass was lying

My combo starts with this…

(the T blade, not the stock blade)

…and ends with this for the remaining stubble.

Always wash your face with hot water before shaving and use a good shaving cream or beard oil to soften your facial hair.

shower / wash face before with warm water (I know to exfoliate as well but I never did take skin care seriously enough smh)
cleaned and oiled Andis t liners
shave with the grain and try not to make too many passes

y'all zero gap your clipper blades?

Yeah. I use this right here to set it

Andis 04880 Blade Zero Gapper Tool For Outliner, T-Outliner and Styliner Blades

It can be a pain in the ass setting it because it takes me a few tries to get it right but it's great once you find that sweet spot. Matter of fact I just got a new set of clippers last weekend and I have to go through the process all over again :unimpressed:

Probably a good time to try out a new blade setter

It's not really about razors when you have black hair. You're going to get razor bumps/ingrown hairs and it's worse for someone like me with senstive skin. What I use to get rid of them and keep myself from getting a large amount of them is this

You forgot the lighter to burn the end of yo needle.

Other than that prolific posting.

The bevel is an expensive cheat for a beginner.
Yet if you still using a blade afterwards.
You totally wasted yo money.

Someone posted a grey picture ITT, there’s also this detailer I have as well.

Wahl Professional 5 Star Series Cordless Detailer LI Extremely Close Trimming, Crisp Clean Line, Extended Blade Cutting, 100 Minute Run Time for Professional Barbers and Stylists - Model 8171

This shyt is just pretty.

The adjustable is the better buy for sixty.
Yet all wahl is kinda trash to andis and basically a dog hair clipper. If you not live with it.
I would not recommend this one at all.
Especially at this price.
If you gon spend this for it.

You might as well just give nas his bread for the bevel.
Then spend a hundo more for the tblade to strap on the bevel.

This clipper is a total waste of money.

When I first started growing out my beard I copped and some Barbasol shaving cream. Completely fukked up my face and I don’t really think it’s recovered since. Now it’s just electric shavers or some T outliners. :francis:

I have a very thick beard and that Bevel is sharp af when zero gapped. I use it to line my beard up and lightly glide it to catch the stubble and finish with the razor for clean up. I can go from clean face to a Jim Jones in 7 days, so no I’m not wasting my money. Just not trying to cut my face with clippers.

  • Learn how to use a straight razor and go with the grain, not against it.
  • Get a Bevel or Andis T-Liner.

Are you really telling me, a grown man who’s been shaving my face for over 20 years how to do it?

:mjlol:

Then arguing about what level of hair cutting or barber skills I have?

You know nothing about me or my hair type. Just assuming your ass off based on what? This is my son and his hair is just like mine. You still gonna tell me all hair is the same?

The cut on the left is my work. On the right a barber, because I didn’t feel like cutting that day. Am I skilled enough?
