Complete delusion. Oh so he only starting bc his contract dictates it :comeon:

For fans like this I WISH they would make a move so you can truly feel QB purgatory. Such a ridiculous sports culture we’re in /rant

I mean the contract means he can't even be traded without taking massive dead money.

He's got a contract in the 8-12 range in terms of size and I think that's where he is as a quarterback right now. So I agree Eagles fans should be happy with what they have.

But there will be serious frustration if we lose a game because of the same bad habits and limitations he's shown for the last two years and not seemed to be able to work through and fix.

I'll be frustrated as well but not like we gotta get rid of this dude.

Lamar is under more than all of em put together.

Imma swerve and say Mahomes second just because of the gravity of what 3 SBs in a row would mean in legacy discussions. I don’t think that is properly being appreciated. He has nothing to lose but he has the world to gain.

Lamar because he’s the best player with the most talented team he’s ever had. Josh will be given a pass if he doesn’t make it to the Super Bowl because no one expected them to be the #2 seed this season, but he can’t lost in the first round. Mahomes has the pressure of trying to threepeat, but if they lose in the AFC or even Super Bowl, he still already has 3 rings.

In the NFC, it’s only Goff and Hurts. Goff because they’re the #1 seed and have been called the best team in the entire NFL much of the year. They lost so many players on defense, so the pressure isn’t AS high. Hurts has some pressure because people have been saying he’s not a great QB, and he has arguably the most talented team in the entire league (offense and defense).

I choose Jared Goff
  • Goff needs to make it to the Superbowl in order for that Rams-Lions deal to look good for both sides.
  • The Lions have the Bye and on paper should make it to the Superbowl; in a sense, the door is wide open.
  • Ben Johnson is leaving after this season
Though cases can be made for Lamar in terms of if he can have success, now that he has Henry... along with Josh Allen, and if he can beat Mahomes when it matters.

Surely Goff is still playing with house money, though? Most people seemed to think that he was just a throw-in part of the Stafford trade so he wasn't the proverbial bad smell in LA once Stafford took his job. Moreso, I can't remember many people thinking he'd own a starting job again at the end of that contact, and I would be amazed if anyone thought he'd get PAID like he has.

Stack all of the Lions injuries up, too, and he's surely under very little pressure, save for whatever pressure that he'll put upon himself?

I totally get what you say, though,, as it might seem a long road back if they don't win the chip this year.

Lamar by a mile. I am going to remove the MVPs
out of the conversation.

The Ravens chance to win a SB will not be better than it is NOW.

The Steelers offense is predictable and the Ravens defense has stabilized the past 6 weeks.

The Ravens are a bad matchup for Buffalo imo

The Chiefs are very good but beatable.

Weirdly enough the only team that would give me pause is if the Chargers go on a run.

If the Lions didn't have this kind of a year, I would 100% be Lamar, but with this special year and Goff being traded... and Stafford winning a Superbowl... this might be Goff's best chance to win a Superbowl with no Mahomes until the Superbowl itself.

There are no NFC teams that on-paper look like a major roadblock, they are the team to beat.

I, for one, welcome our new space overlords.
It's Lamar. He's a goat level QB who now must show us why.

He needs this chip like Jokic/Giannis needed theirs (after bieng MVP's twice but with no chip). Coz after a while, who cares about you being MVP multiple times if you can't win?

Same with Lebron in 2012. Hystorically great year with Peak Lebron basketball, but let's be honest all everyone talked about was that first chip. Would his third MVP be great without the chip? No he had to win.
