swagg to spare reading up on how bro used to pop bottles all night come in bag up some goals no practice
the story about him making a bet with cruyff that if he scored two goals in a game he'd fly home to brazil for carnival romario gets his two goals subs out gets on the pj to brazil swagg to spare

*
Lethal finisher, he was the only thing about the Brazil 94 team that made them worth watching. There is a Nigerian dude i played football with who always tried this skill wherever he was on the pitch.

This finish is just swagged out , didn't even look at the goalie until the ball went in

This. You can't be a goat without enjoying success in internationals as well as club football.

Inb4 stans 'but but but Champions League is the hardest tournament there is' :mjlol: No it fukking isn't, you play goat herds from Greece and former Soviet/East German mining outposts until the quarter finals, sometimes semi finals. It's a shyt competition and the standard is much higher at the World Cup.

Who's mans is this? :why:

  1. You can be the goat without enjoying success at international level. Ever heard of Johan Cruyff?
  2. I don't know what World Cup you're talking about, but the soccer World Cup is no where near the Standard we see year in year out in the champions league.

IMMIGRANT TETHERS
Was the most exciting maybe but I've always rated Paul scholes ahead of him as far as impacting the game. And if you want to reach and say Gerard was the same generation then he was better too.

Those England squads where some of the biggest underachievers I've ever seen and it was hilarious. :mjlol:
you can't really say they were underachievers when their generation wasn't that special tbh. Yeah they had some good players that might have made it on Brazil, Italy or France bench back than. Overall they didn't have a patch on the players playing on those other teams. Don't forget Argentina and Portugal's squad was stacked too. So they never underachieved.

Starkset...
He ain't man, ain't even respected in his own country let him do what Maradonna did then we will talk

As the Argentines say perhaps Argentina should change their strip to blue and red stripes and pay him in euros and perhaps then he would play for them

Maradonna >>>> Messi

No matter what Lionel Messi's haters will say, he'll go down as the greatest footballer ever. The only people that will never concede this fact are

1)Brazilians
2)C. Ronaldo fans
3)Maradona

Winning a world cup is a TEAM ACHIEVEMENT. There are several reasons why Argentina has underachieved on the world stage. Early in Messi's career(2010 South Africa), the team balance was completely off; they had arguably the best attack in the world and almost every match was a goal fest, but a terrible backline and keeper which caught up with them. The young core that would become the World Cup winning German team (in Brazil) destroyed that shytty Argentine defense. In Brazil(and throughout his whole career) Gonzalo Higuaín is a no show or he fukks up royally on the big stage; World Cup, Copa America, or his club teams... it really doesn't matter. Carlos Tevez may have been a cancer to the team, but he produces in big games, club and country.

Back to Messi.... There are only a few.... EVER that have the combination of great technical ability and supremely high football player IQ.....

Pele.... Brazilian... Like I said, Brazilians will never admit it. Neymar is about the only Brazilian that will praise Messi publically. Pele even said that Neymar was better than Messi. That says it all.

Ronaldo de Lima... Also Brazilian. His goal scoring abilities were incredible. I understand why people call him the greatest goal scorer ever.

I'm brazilian and like 99% of the people born in the 90's don't even rate Pelé, only old heads (70 y.o+) speak highly of him. To be honest most people don't even like him. He's not the god that Maradona is in Argentina.
Ronaldo Fenômeno is probably the most beloved player of this generation and I'm one of those who thinks that if all the injuries didn't mess up his knees so early in his career, he would've been the undisputed greatest player ever, but since potential doesn't usually come into the conversation for these things, most of us acknowledge Messi as the greatest, but of course, there is the Messi vs CR7 debate like everywhere else, which is a shame.

What "we" normally don't admit is people saying Maradona was better than Pelé, I personally don't care for football before the late 80's.

What is undeniable is that Pelé has the best resume in the history and brazilian football in the 50's was on another level compared to the european, I respect him but I don't blindly defend him because I would be talking out of my ass.

:umad:he was the captain - he lifted the cup at the end of the tournament.

:whoo:clearly you didn't watch the final of the euros when CR7 from the touchline was coaching his team to victory.
:blessed:leader on and off the field!!
so now cheerleaders are going to get credit. nice :russ:
