Extra props to the mods who hasn't racetrac'd this thread
If you haven't noticed, there have been a string of police murders against unarmed black people. And assaults against black people on all sides of the equation.
If you haven't noticed, since Obama's second term, race relations in America and around the world have gone south.
People accuse people like us of "fishing for daps and rep":...but that would be a disservice to those who have been mistreated, killed, in the past couple of years.
This thread is really a disservice to them as well...thinking that "we wake up bitter and angry and want to complain" without a reason...
You sound like them white people who cant realize, don't want to realize the racist reality of the world and it's microagression/macroagressions aganist black people, or do but play dumb anyway about black folk playing victim.
As if we should stop thinking about this...and magically it will go away. Nope...that line of thinking has never worked...even though many say we should do this.
Why does talking about racism make you a militant?
Because rather than actually discussing racism constructively and maturely, it usually devolves into a non-constructive hand-wringing echo chamber about how much said militants hate cacs/devils/inherently/white supremacy, and how if you disagree in any way you're labeled a c00n or a cac.
Thanks breh...I appreciate it.Yep.
@*L*E*G*A*C*Y* keeps saying this and noone is listening to him. If the black people who have pride in themselves and care about how black people are being treated in society (because we are being treated like shyt) and want to get to know more about where they are from are 'black storm front' or 'militants' then whose side are you on ?!
If as a black person you look at the people who are fighting for your race to just be treated as a fukking human being with disdain and on some shyt then whose side are you on really ?!
It's like people are used to black people smiling and accepting everythng so long when they have the audacity to even speak against the majority they are met with disdain.
I feel ya. I can relate to this. I remember those days well...a part of me misses them...but I'm better off now mentally and physically because of what I've learned and what I've been through.I miss the good ol days when we talked about love and hip hop, tip drill and hawt blondz who like black guyz
All jokes aside though, there was a sweetness that came from living in ignorance that I miss. Once you wake up there's no turning back breh. I can never look at black social issues the same. I can never look at white people the same.
The days of watching justice league after school, laughing at racist jokes my white "friends" would say to the detriment of my people, staying up late for BET Uncut, thinking latinos were our brothers of the same struggle, and fantasizing about fukking Kimberly from power rangers and the sister sister twins are long gone brehs.
I still have fun. I still game, love anime, watch sports, hang out with the homies, enjoy family time, and continue to pursue my dreams of being a great novelist, but shyt is just different now breh. Heavy is the mind of a conscious brother.
I guess what I'm saying is, though I'd never go back, I kinda miss being that dumbass kid who trusted white people and jerked off to Dragon ball z hentai
yea...everyone wakes up at different points in time.Everyone doesn't go through the same process of consciousness breh. My dad put me onto game as a kid. He made sure he taught us to be "pro black."
My girl on the flip side is 25 and she's just now becoming conscious to white supremacy in the last year or so since she started dating me.
I'll quote Kwame Ture "It's the job of the conscious to bring the unconscious to consciousness."
This is ignorant. And I say this as a child of black immigrants.Black immigrants and their children tend to be towards Black Americans. They think we're lazy and exaggerating about systematic racism or mock our history in this nation all the while reaping the benefits of it.
nikkas Woke up.
But still in bed.
I've experienced the complete opposite. I'm a child of black immigrants. Growing up all of my friends were from various parts of the Caribbean. Last weekend me and 2 of my boys randomly got invited to an Ethiopian club by an Ethopian couple we met while out chilling.
I've had friends from Kenya, Nigeria (one of my best friends is Nigerian), Tanzania, and Ghana. Just met a girl a few weeks back from Uganda and she invited me, my girl, and a bunch of our friends to party with her.
And not a single time have I heard any of them talk reckless about black Americans. Matter fact my Nigerian friend was specifically asked by two black women if Nigerians look down on black Americans and he said "where did you hear that from "
I'm not doubting some immigrants have fukked up views of black Americans (same way we have fukked up views about them). But this idea that black Americans are hated by other blacks is bullshyt propaganda. Same propaganda that says black people are not welcome anywhere on planet earth.
It's been said numerous times in this thread. Once black people started talking about white people, all of these so called "black posters" started coming out the woodwork saying coli is the black st0rmfr0nt.
Which is interesting because I don't know a single black person who actually browses st0rmfr0nt like that to know what kinda threads is on there.
Makes you wonder don't it
Exacty bruh! Where do y'all think us Africans/West Indians in America get our swag from?
My G...I grew up stanning black American rappers and personalities...part me wishes I was a pure bred black American...but oh well...
