is this the conclusion you came to with your xbox1x and 4k tv or your high end pc ? oh wait you own neither.

This shyt is trivial and pointless. If you have a PC play on your PC...if you have a console play on your console. Xbox One X is a good value for people who don't have a PC with a high-end graphics card. I have a high-end graphics card in my PC so I don't need an XBOX One X. I'm not going to clown it just because I don't need it. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come and console gaming can get to where PC gaming is in terms of having standards for performance.

its impossible for consoles to ever be the same as PC. Its LITERALLY impossible. This isnt even for debate. consoles are just smaller PCs how do people not understand this in 2017

just because you put the parts into a smaller box, doesnt make them more powerful

if I put a honda civic engine into a ferrari body car, does it make the engine faster no of course not so how could consoles (a small PC, but with older parts to keep cost down) ever be compared to PCs with newer technology

the moment people understand consoles are just PC's in a different case and different UI (user interface - aka xbox live instead of windows 10), these debates would stop happening

I'm a layman, so I am interested in @Fatboi1 thoughts on what Xbox one x settings are.

I'm guessing maybe a couple of settings are high but the rest may be medium/low. Coupled with 30fps frame lock it's not really comparable to some higher end cards.

All this proves is that the xbx1 is comparable to a 1070, it’s better than a 1060 which I have in my machine now and I consider that middle of the line.


So if it’s better than a 1060 and comparable to a 1070. I’d say it’s comparable to mid/higher end gaming system.

Clearly not the best of the best or the top or even middle of high end but still.


I can’t even run gears at 4K with a steady frame rate and honestly I don’t have a 4K monitor so I don’t really know if I could do both at all.


I’m not sure how much a 1070 is but I’d much rather drop 500 and get a 4K experience on my big screen tv and all the other bells and whistles of the xb1x instead of a 1070 or 1080

So I recorded footage of me getting an avg of 60fps at 4K on Destiny 2. At medium settings with SSAO and DOF off it easily averages 60+fps at native 4K. On Highest(low/medium/high/highest) settings it's around 40fps. If I drop to 1440P I could go over 120fps. Once it's past 90fps it's even butterier smooth. FPS in the top right corner.




YT does it no justice. It looks much clearer in person but it's honestly better at 1440P/90~165fps with G-Sync.

AC Origins at 4K on high/very high is on average 40fps. This is multitudes better than the 1700~1800P stuff at 30fps you're getting on Xb1X.


If I put resolution scale to 80% I could get 50~60fps.

WAY better than the Xb1X you claim it's "On par" with or comparable to.

Video is encoded at 1440P though for storage space.

No hate on the X1X but ya'll need to stop pushing this narrative that it's simply on par with a PC.It's nice for a 4K TV and some games aren't too demanding (TF2, sports/racers) but those aren't indicative of everything else.

There's more to graphics/hardware benchmarks than resolution/framerate and it's not simply black/white.

Which is why its really a direct competitor with an RX 580. Which is an 8gb card and has a 9gb variant as well. Which is the same amount of vram as the xbox one. I dunno man, I have a 1060 and I only have the recommend settings for the game if I recall. It def wasn’t 4K and I definitely couldn’t run 4K 60fps which I can do on the xb1x
