Windows does maintenance and updates...occasionally? Not daily. Tedious, but my no means deal breaking. You're making a mountain out of a molehill.

I have no idea what PCs you're buying. Been working with PCs all my life and I've never really had any of these issues. All my replacements have been out of obsolescence. Do you read reviews before you buy?

And nikka that shyt is DAILY... It constantly needs virus updates, scans, maintenance, whatever. I don't want to do that shyt when I get home

And see, for 500 you copped a Mac with better specs and newer than mines, while these nikkas copping sub $500 trash just because the "specs are higher" and just because it's cheaper... These nikkas never heard the saying "you get what you paid for" or nothing..

I don't understand how using your mac for 4+ years is an accomplishment. I've been using my laptop since 09 and it's still here. There are people out there still with Windows Vista laptops. Being a klutz and dropping chit like your computer is completely on you and your small ding is just your experience. I know people who have cracked screens, damaged internals or more severe damage from dropping theirs. BRB have a 1K laptop I won't care to just drop it all the time.

Most daily maintenance or virus scanning is done automatically, without you touching anything. Windows at it's very worst has updates you do when you shut down your computer, and being on the high end updates happen like twice a month, HOW UNBEARABLE. The extra $500 makes everything so much better.

It's apparent you are stuck in your ways as am I, so it's whatever.

What I want to know is how you went through 3 PCs in 7 years. Was it business (kind of understandable) or personal...or both?

I've used my Macbook every day since 2010, still holding up (thought the CD-Rom doesnt work anymore). Best computer I've ever had. When this dies, I'll get another one.

Unless you're in IT, a digital designer or music producer there is absolutely no reason for you to own a MAC...

The specs simply do not justify the price for the average user who simply wants to surf the internet, use Microsoft office and play games...It's like paying Lamborghini prices for a KIA and all you need the car for is to drive to work...

This is a good point. I completely agree. I have a pro, and i'm just a student and I thought of this before I bought it. I'm the type of guy though that was interested in learning to do graphic design, and other chip intensive things so I just bit the bullet and it's kind of making me learn so I don't use it as an expensive chromebook or something. I see way too many people who buy pros and just use it to check email and do hw.

People need to realise that ya, Macbook Pros are stylish and trendy...but they are also industry standards for a lot of professions and the hardware is top notch. You are truly getting a premium product if you use it to it's potential.

I had a Mac pro since 2005 and it was the best purchase I felt then too. After it got stolen, I tried to go the cheap route and regretted every moment of it. Once I got my Pro in 2010 I said fukk anything other than mac. The unibody is amazing, the OS, the style.. worth the investment


And I like Sony/Toshiba/ and maybe a couple other ones but nah... only Mac breh

It's an accomplishment because i'm on my shyt EVERYDAY


I rarely even cut it off. I barely do shyt to it... I'm not even saying it can't get viruses or don't require maintenance but compared to PC that shyt is rare as fukk


being a "klutz" because I dropped my laptop fakkit? shyt happens and yeah, I dropped it carry a bunch of other shyt out of my truck and only a DENT... your sub $500 trash would've been in pieces and you would either be paying for new parts or having someone else fix it. I wouldn't get a $500 laptop unless I was broke af



And you update your shyt twice a month, I do it twice a year



And it was business and personal. I was in the military, one shytted on me in a year, the other one was cool but wasn't worth it, and another I got just to do server shyt on it

There are def ppl who buy them b/c they just want a macbook to be "in". I agree, in my post I said that macpros are legit amazing machines and are industry standards. You dont have to tell me...i own a PC and a Pro. Each have diff uses for what i use them for. But the majority of the starbucks crowd, college crowd, etc couldnt tell you one thing about why they picked a pro over a pc. They only use them as a word processor and chromebook
